CardsNearby is a directory website of local card shops and card shows for card collectors, with its core positioning as a "card show and shop directory," helping users find card-related venues and events near them.
In terms of purpose, the website covers all 50 U.S. states and includes more than 3,900 local card shops and hundreds of card shows. Users can use the directory to find nearby card shows, local game stores, and trade nights, and obtain information such as business hours, types of games sold, show dates, and venue details. The card types involved include sports cards, Pokémon, Magic, and others. The website emphasizes that all shows, local game stores, and trade nights are verified, and expired listings are not kept.
In terms of main capabilities, in addition to the shop and show directory, the website also provides a Pokémon card scanning and price tracking tool. The official description says that this tool can scan any card within seconds and track real-time market price changes, allowing users to understand the value of their card binder before going to a show. Examples of shows listed in the directory include Collectors Corner Card Show (AleSmith Brewing Company, San Diego, CA, 5pm–10pm), Sevierville Card Show (Sevierville Convention Center, Sevierville, TN), Odessa Card Show (Ector County Coliseum), River City Card Show (Southbank Hotel Jacksonville Riverwalk, Jacksonville, FL), NTX Universe (3-Day Show) (NTX Universe, Dallas), and others.
In terms of how to use it, the website provides a function to find card shows and shops by location, and users can search for collector-related content in their city. For show organizers or shop operators, the website provides a free registration entry so that they can be discovered by collectors searching in their city.
In terms of applicable scenarios, it is suitable for card collectors to find local card shops, plan to attend card shows or trade nights, and evaluate the market value of their card binder (especially Pokémon cards) before attending; it is also suitable for shops and show organizers to register information for free to gain local exposure.
In terms of limitations, the current information does not provide the website's specific pricing standards, prices, platform support, detailed technical explanations of the scanning tool, or usage steps, etc. This information is not yet provided.
