Disruption Intelligence MCP is a business disruption intelligence MCP server for AI agents, backed by a hosted Forgemesh API. It enables MCP clients and x402-capable agents to access capabilities related to business disruption signals.
Purpose
This server is used to provide business disruption intelligence to AI agents, including WARN/layoff intelligence, company background, geographic region disruption analysis, location-only Ripple Index cards, Ripple Signals, Ripple Paths, Disruption Intelligence Ripple Reports, x402 payment challenge inspection, and economic signal workflows.
Main Capabilities
- WARN and layoff signal intelligence
- Company background information
- Geographic region disruption analysis
- Location-only Ripple Index cards
- Ripple Signals and Ripple Paths
- Disruption Intelligence Ripple Reports
- x402 payment challenge inspection (inspect_x402_challenge)
- Economic signal workflows
Specific available tool endpoints include:
- Free Ripple search: provides inventory information only, returning counts, freshness, and unlock pricing, and does not expose business angles, evidence categories, source mix, signal IDs, company names, or raw source records.
- get_ripple_index: unlocks a low-cost, location-only index for choosing the next direction to dig deeper. It can return signal IDs, event IDs, region, state, signal type, freshness/depth/confidence/score ranges, and unlock URLs, but does not provide company names, employee counts, business angles, industry names, spend areas, source records, or impact paths.
- get_gold_signals: paid endpoint that returns Ripple Signal summaries, confidence ranges, condensed evidence labels, and a Ripple Path list with unlock endpoints.
- get_gold_sector_impacts: paid endpoint that unlocks a deeper operational graph for a single signal, including downstream spend categories such as fuel, food service, uniforms, maintenance, IT, logistics, office supplies, telecommunications, insurance, legal, cleaning, travel, and related supplier categories.
- Industry classificationOutput: paid event-level API responses include industry_classification when event context is available. The hosted API returns industry labels, NAICS fields (if present), derivation method, confidence, relevant source text, and coverage notes. The MCP itself is a thin client, does not infer industries locally, and does not rewrite hosted WARN data.
Usage
This package is a thin client for the hosted API, with the call chain: Agent/MCP client -> this MCP server -> hosted Disruption Intelligence API. The API base URL is fixed at https://disruption.forgemesh.io , and no environment variables are read. Each request has boundary limits: 60-second timeout, 2 MB response cap, and redirects are not allowed; inspect_x402_challenge only accepts ordinary paths on that host.
The default mode is safe and does not settle. Free endpoints return API data directly. Paid endpoints are requested without payment credentials, so the hosted API can return an x402 402 Payment Required challenge. When payment is required, this MCP returns structured payment instructions and challenge metadata instead of throwing an upstream error. It does not require private keys and does not perform settlement. Future paid execution should be opt-in and delegated to a trusted wallet or payment client.

Security boundaries
This repository is a thin client wrapper for agents, deliberately excluding engine code, scoring formulas, ingestion internals, database details, operational topology, wallet addresses, private keys, and secrets. This package does not contain engine internals, scoring logic, ingestion architecture, database schemas, private topology, wallet addresses, or secrets. Wallet private keys are neither required nor accepted; paid endpoint calls return x402 challenge metadata for settlement by an external wallet or payment client.
Limitations
- The free Ripple search is intentionally limited to inventory information only and does not provide commercial angles, evidence categories, source combinations, signal IDs, company names, or raw source records.
- get_ripple_index does not provide company names, employee counts, commercial angles, industry names, spend areas, source records, and impact paths.
- This MCP does not infer industries locally and does not rewrite hosted WARN data.
- It does not read environment variables; the API base URL is fixed.
- Requests are subject to a 60-second timeout, a 2 MB response limit, and a redirect prohibition.
