Albie is an AI tutor that focuses on the philosophy of "teaching until it is understood." It interacts with students through a shared whiteboard, working through problems step by step, covering a wide range of content from basic counting to calculus.
Main capabilities:
- Interactive teaching: Albie demonstrates one step, the student attempts the next step, and then Albie checks it. Students can write on the board with a pen, and Albie reads the written content, finds the step where the error occurred, and gives a hint instead of directly giving the answer.
- Multimedia assistance: When text is not enough, use drawings, charts, real photos, and short animations to help explain.
- Multimodal interaction: Students can type, speak, or write, and Albie responds with voice.
- Multilingual support: Lessons are offered in six languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian), and students can switch at any time, even mid-lesson. Math content remains consistent across languages.
- Built-in code editor: Includes files and folders, a terminal, and a browser, supports Python, JavaScript, SQL, and web execution, and Albie can write and run code together with the student.
- Broad subject coverage: Can teach computer science, math, history, and biology, etc., from kindergarten to calculus. A short check determines the student's level, then teaching proceeds lesson by lesson, with quizzes and tests. Students can also enter any topic they want to learn, and Albie will plan a course, or they can ask questions directly.
How to use:
- Families: The family plan for children includes lessons, homework help, quizzes, and a progress dashboard for each child. A 7-day free trial is offered, billed monthly, usage is shared within the family, and up to 6 children are supported, each with independent progress. Billing starts after the trial ends, and it can be canceled at any time.
- Schools and organizations: Albie can be provided for a class, an entire school, or an organization, and teachers can see their own students, while parents can also follow along. It usually starts with a pilot class. Monthly usage is shared within the school or organization. Contact: sales@cadentic.ai.
- Usage mechanism: Family usage is shared and resets monthly; the dashboard shows usage used. After reaching 100%, Albie pauses until the 1st of the next month. Administrators can enable extra usage in billing, with a monthly cap, priced at $3.75 per additional 10% of monthly usage per learner, billed monthly. The free trial includes a quarter month of usage per learner, and usage during the trial counts toward the month in which the plan starts.
Applicable scenarios:
- Family tutoring: Parents can provide personalized tutoring for their children, covering homework help,Quizzes and progress tracking. After each lesson there are notes, homework has deadlines, quizzes and tests, and important matters are sent by email notification.
- School teaching: teachers can view student progress, and parents can follow up on their own child's situation.
- Independent learning: students can propose any topic they want to learn, and Albie will plan the lessons, or directly answer questions.
Limits and privacy safety:
- Age limits: those under 13 need a parent, guardian, or school to create an account and use a nickname rather than their real name. Teenagers and adults can register on their own.
- Advertising: Albie itself does not display ads. YouTube videos embedded in lessons may carry YouTube ads, and parents can turn off the videos.
- Safety filtering: web searches, videos, and photos are all safety-filtered, and voice recognition takes place on the device.
- Data control: students and parents can view and delete what Albie remembers. If a student says they are unsafe, Albie will stop the lesson and guide them to seek help.
- Privacy statement: there is a dedicated children's privacy statement explaining what Albie collects from children, why it collects it, who receives it, and how parents can view, delete, or refuse it.
