Teacher Planner is an online teaching planning and lesson preparation tool for teachers, usable in a browser. Its main purpose is to help teachers organize schedules, structure weekly lessons, and draft classroom materials with AI.
Purpose and Main Capabilities Teacher Planner provides online lesson preparation and teaching plan management. Teachers can import schedules, organize lessons by day, week, or month, and adjust lesson order when plans change. It also provides several AI tools for drafting classroom materials.
AI Tools
- Lesson Plan Generator: drafts lesson plans based on a topic, learning objective, or standard.
- Worksheet Generator: turns a topic or reading passage into a draft worksheet for a specified grade level.
- Multiple Choice Quiz Generator: drafts multiple-choice questions and answers based on a topic or standard.
- Text adaptation: adjusts wording, length, or complexity to better fit the students being taught.
- Writing Feedback: drafts specific, actionable feedback based on assignment requirements and feedback criteria. AI output is a draft and requires teacher review and editing, including checking factual accuracy, answers, difficulty, and suitability. There are limits on the number of generations, and each tool displays current usage information.
Schedule Import Photos or PDF schedules can be uploaded, and the tool reads the lessons, days of the week, and times, with teacher confirmation before saving. Schedule grids and plain lists are supported; A/B rotations and whole-school schedule imports are not currently supported. Previous schedules can also be imported and then edited into the current timetable.
Planning Views Supports viewing lessons by day, week, or month; Unit Timeline allows viewing the unit arrangement for the whole term; Outline allows viewing all lessons in order in a single list.
Adjusting Plans When there is an assembly, a canceled class, or a lesson needs more time, Bump Forward can be used to push the affected lessons forward, with subsequent lessons shifted later in sequence, without needing to re-enter content.
Printing Provides three print templates: Classic, Minimal, and Cards, and can print days, weeks, months, or the course outline, and can also print from the browser or save as PDF. The free plan includes basic printing with the Minimal template; Pro and Lifetime include more templates and advanced options, such as outline printing and custom date ranges.
Use Cases
- Elementary classrooms: keep subjects and daily lessons together in one plan.
- Middle and high school schedules: view multiple class periods and lesson preparation side by side.
- Homeschooling and study groups: adjust pacing according to topic needs.
- Share readable lesson plans with colleagues.
How to use and limitations A free plan is offered, including one planbook, day/week/month views, and basic printing with the Minimal template, with no credit card required. AI tools are available to all accounts, including the free plan, with no separate purchase required. Pro adds unlimited planbooks, a Standards Tracker, more print templates, outline printing, custom date ranges, and advanced print settings, with optional monthly or annual payment. Lifetime is a one-time payment of 299 USD, providing long-term access to the Pro plan features described above, but it does not include separate or unlimited AI credits; the rules for AI tools are the same for all accounts, and there are generation limits. A full refund for Lifetime removes the permanent premium access included with that purchase; refunds are governed by the billing section of the Terms of Service and applicable law. Monthly or annual subscriptions can be canceled from Billing before the renewal date to stop the next charge.
The Tool focuses on organizing lesson plans and assisting with preparing classroom materials. It is not intended for managing grades, student submissions, or confidential records, which should remain in the systems used by the school. When using AI tools, avoid entering confidential or personally identifiable student information, remove identifying details such as names, student ID numbers, and contact information, and follow the school's requirements for the use of AI tools and student materials.
