About this tool

Respaced is a free AI game maker (desktop app) based on the Godot engine, and its core goal is to let you describe a game in natural language and have the AI build it in the full Godot editor.

[Purpose] You can open a Godot project in Respaced, choose Claude or ChatGPT, and then make requests, for example "a door that opens when the player walks near it." The AI will write GDScript, run the game, read errors, and capture the viewport to check its own work. The whole process revolves around one loop: describe, playtest, revise, until it becomes the game you imagined.

[Main capabilities]

  • World tools: terrain, water, sky, weather, player controllers, and props are all systems the AI can call by name; the same set of controls is also placed beside the 3D and 2D views for you to use, including Sculpt, Paint, Plants, Place, Water, Sky, Weather, Characters, People, and Camera.
  • Playtesting: the AI can run the game headlessly or in the Game screen, read stdout and GDScript parse errors, capture the viewport, inject input events, and read and modify the live scene tree.
  • 3D modeling: the AI can build rigged, game-ready 3D models on your computer from a specification, with no keys and no cost; the models land in assets/Models in glTF binary format along with materials.
  • Existing Godot projects: you can open projects created elsewhere, and Respaced will ask once before adding anything and list what it added, and you can also remove it all with "Remove Flockbay from this project."
  • 2D and 3D: choosing 3D gives you a walkable world; choosing 2D opens already playable, with tile terrain, platforms, and a player controller that can walk, land, and jump, and you can drag to lay or erase tiles. Whether it is side-scrolling or top-down is not a menu option, but is determined by the gravity toggle.
  • Steam page preparation: Respaced will prepare a Steam store page for your game, including capsule images, screenshots, and all text fields, and export it as a .zip for you to upload to Steamworks yourself.

[How to use and pricing] Respaced is free, and its AI is free too. EveryAccounts can use AI for free every day on models hosted by Respaced, without connecting anything. You can also use your own AI: use your Claude or ChatGPT plan in the app, connect your own agent via MCP (such as Cursor or Codex), or use your own API key, with costs paid to the company running your model rather than to Respaced. The current information clearly states that Respaced has no paid plan, projects and assets are private, there is no team plan, and there is no per-seat pricing.

[Use cases] Suitable for developers who already pay for Claude or ChatGPT. It runs Claude Code (Anthropic's coding agent), uses your Claude Pro or Max plan, or logs in with your ChatGPT (any plan, including the free version).

[Limitations and platforms] The game is an ordinary Godot project located in a folder on your computer, containing scenes, GDScript, and project.godot. Standard Godot can open it. The game runs on the bundled copy, and playtesting does not require an internet connection; however, building requires an internet connection, and chat, generated images, and world data are all transmitted over the network, so it cannot build without the internet. Respaced first released a Windows version: 64-bit PC, Intel or AMD processor. The Mac version (Apple Silicon) is an earlier version and cannot yet run Claude in the app, nor can it host the full editor. On Linux it is an x86_64 AppImage, suitable for Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 39, or newer versions. On Chromebooks with Intel or AMD processors, the same AppImage can run in ChromeOS's Linux environment. There is no browser version, and no mobile version.

[Classification note] The phrase "AI UI generator that turns natural language into React components" appearing in the original description is inconsistent with the official content; the official information indicates that Respaced is a Godot-based AI game creation tool, so it is classified as an AI game tool.
