Happy Oyster AI is an open-ended world model designed for real-time world creation and interaction. At its core is a native multimodal architecture that supports text, voice, and image input and has joint audio-video generation capabilities. Unlike standard AI video tools that generate a finished clip in one pass, Happy Oyster continuously receives and responds to user input during generation, and the world evolves in real time. The model generates continuous and physically consistent environments, with lighting, gravity, object positions, and character motion remaining coherent throughout the entire session. The team previously released HappyHorse, which topped the global text-to-video benchmark, and Happy Oyster was unveiled on April 16, 2026.
In terms of main capabilities, Happy Oyster operates in two modes. Director Mode is like a real-time production studio: users can guide the scene at any time during generation via text, voice, or image instructions, switch camera angles, redirect characters, or rewrite the narrative without starting over, running for up to three minutes and supporting 480p or 720p. Roam Mode places users in a first-person view within the generated environment, where they can navigate using WASD and camera controls for up to one minute at 480p, with the world expanding procedurally as the user moves and maintaining consistent object placement, spatial physics, and environmental continuity. Target applications include real-time film pre-production, game world prototyping, and interactive storytelling.
In terms of usage, the platform currently offers video, image, and audio generation tools powered by engines such as Kling, Veo, Seedream, and GPT Image. Users can start from a text prompt or upload a reference image and get output within minutes. JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats are supported, up to 10MB. Images serve as the starting frame of the video. The generation process has three steps: write a prompt or upload reference material; choose the AI engine suited to the task; download and use it for commercial purposes. Generation times range from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the model and resolution. Paid plans produce watermark-free output with a full commercial license, usable for social media, advertising, film pre-production, product content, and client deliverables. No GPU, software installation, motion capture hardware, or render farm is required.
The AI engines available on the platform include: Kling (Kuaishou's video engine, based on 3D VAE spatial modeling, joint video and audio generation in a single pipeline, supporting text-to-video, image-to-video, multi-shot sequences up to 15 seconds, motion-controlled character animation, and AI digital human lip-sync video); Veo (Google DeepMind cinematic video generationdevice, 8-second broadcast-quality clips, built-in AI audio, support for first and last frame control and reference-style video generation); GPT Image (OpenAI image model, ranked first on LMArena, Design Arena, and Artificial Analysis Image Arena, with a focus on text rendering accuracy); Flux (Black Forest Labs production-grade image engine, 1K and 2K resolutions, seven aspect ratios, with a focus on generation speed); Nano Banana (Google character-consistency image engine, accepting up to 8 reference images in text-to-image mode; Nano Banana 2 adds Google Search grounding, support for 14 reference images, and 15 aspect ratios); Seedream (ByteDance native 4K image engine, up to 4096×4096 pixels, eight aspect ratios, including 21:9 ultrawide; Seedream 5 Lite applies chain-of-thought visual reasoning); Runway Gen-4 Aleph (AI video editing, transforming existing video footage via text prompts, style transfer, object modification, and scene changes while preserving the original motion path).
There are also image models and text-to-speech capabilities, as well as multi-speaker dialogue, supporting more than 70 languages. The platform is built around a world model vision, providing video, image, and audio generation tools, while the Happy Oyster world model is under development (not yet officially launched). New users can start for free (complete information on the specific free policy is not yet available).
In terms of limitations, the world model itself has not yet been released; the current platform provides integration tools for existing AI engines. The announced mode specifications for the world model are: Director Mode up to three minutes, 480p or 720p; Roaming Mode up to one minute, 480p. These are the announced target specifications, and actual availability is not yet available. Specific pricing, subscription costs, and free quota details are not yet fully provided in the supplied materials.
