About this tool

Purpose

Blocksize Market Data MCP is a read-only package for MCP clients, hosted on GitHub, that provides an installable wrapper for Blocksize's public discovery interfaces. It primarily serves AI agents: allowing agents to search supported trading instruments, view pricing information, browse the product catalog, find documentation, and construct precise paid HTTP URLs for retrieving live data. This package does not fetch live prices, does not submit x402 payment proofs, does not transfer funds, does not store credentials, and does not execute trades.

Main Capabilities

The following discovery tools are provided in the package:

  • search_pairs: Search supported symbols and metadata.
  • list_instruments: List trading instruments in the vwap, bidask, fx, or metal categories.
  • get_pricing_info: View current pricing, free tier positioning, and supported settlement channels.
  • get_product_catalog: View raw data and advanced workflow products, including credit costs, status data products, endpoint templates, and upgrade paths.
  • get_market_data_endpoint: Construct a paid x402 HTTP endpoint URL but do not call it, including for status data /v1/state/{pair}。
  • search: Search Blocksize documentation/catalog entries.
  • fetch: Retrieve a single documentation/catalog entry returned by search .

The hosted Blocksize API provides status data and oracle-aware coverage for supported assets. Status price requests use /v1/state/{pair}, and where coverage exists, resolve supported protocol/pool symbols via Blocksize's state_instruments and state_pool data. Examples include protocol symbols such as MSOLUSD, JUPSOLUSD, WSTETHUSD, etc.

Free Tier and Subscription

Logged-in Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor connector users can receive 30,000 free live data credits per calendar month under an evaluation license, and must include a "Data by Blocksize" attribution. Global uniform price list: 1 credit = 0.001 USDC, so each product priced in credits is the same as priced in USDC via x402 (core cryptocurrency 2, long-tail cryptocurrency 4, forex and metals 5, tokenized stocks 8, workflow products 100 to 2,500). Production use can be continued via subscription, starting at 49 euros per month (free trial:https://mcp.blocksize.info/go/free-trial , plans:https://mcp.blocksize.info/go/pricing ), or paid directly via x402. The discovery tools in this package are free and read-only; when calling live market data and advanced workflow endpoints without connector credits, an HTTP 402 Payment Required challenge is returned for x402 settlement.
