About this tool

BuggyRun is an automated web application security auditing tool designed to help developers find vulnerabilities and data leaks in their applications before attackers do. Its core positioning is to enable builders (not just security teams) to understand and address security issues.

[Purpose] BuggyRun performs automated security audits on web applications, identifying the data leaks and vulnerabilities that truly matter, and clearly explaining how to fix them. The goal is to find risks before hackers, leaks, and damage occur.

[Main Capabilities]

  1. Full application coverage: It not only scans public pages, but can also use test credentials or automatic login to go deep into private pages behind authentication.
  2. AI page exploration: An AI crawler maps the site and can reach pages many scanners cannot; it captures every request the application makes and checks for leaks.
  3. Per-request leak analysis: For each response, it checks for sensitive data that should never be in transit, such as session tokens, personally identifiable information (PII), API keys, and secrets. It can find context-related leaks (such as tokens echoed in response bodies), issues that pattern-matching-only scanners easily miss.
  4. 56+ security checks: It runs more than 56 checks per page, covering HTTP security headers, TLS/SSL configuration, cookies and sessions, information disclosure, authentication and authentication APIs, input validation, server-side injection, client-side vulnerabilities, forced browsing, protocol and caching issues, and more.
  5. Input attack testing: It sends crafted attack payloads to forms and APIs to expose injection and input-handling flaws.
  6. Safe limit testing: Through safe, capped load and rate-limit testing, it reveals missing rate limits and account lockout issues (without overwhelming the application).
  7. AI agent triage: It ranks findings by severity, explains them in plain English, and provides the triggering request and remediation advice; users can ask the AI agent follow-up questions, then resolve or ignore with one click.

[How to Use]

  • Just enter the application URL to get started; no SDK, no code changes, no installation required.
  • Supports public pages and authenticated pages; it can automatically log in or use user-provided test credentials.
  • Supports on-demand audits or continuous audits (run after each deployment).
  • A single run drives a six-stage engine: reach public and in-app pages, capture every request, run 56+ checks, analyze responses for leaks, stress-test discovered inputs, probe APIs with safely capped load tests, and finally have the agent complete triage in plain English.

[Use Cases]

  • Independent builders and small teams protecting their own products.
  • Teams and agencies that need to protect multiple products.- Any technology stack that serves HTTP: React, Angular, Vue, Node, Next, etc.

[Limitations]

  • Only targets you own or have explicit authorization to scan may be scanned; scanning websites without permission violates the acceptable use policy.
  • Load and rate-limit testing is safe and capped, and is not designed to take applications offline.
  • More specific technical details, such as the coverage of automated identification and false-positive rates, are not currently provided.

[Pricing]

  • Starter: $19.99/month, 10 audits per month, unlimited projects, automated plus manual audits, and step-by-step fixes for each issue.
  • Expert: $49.99/month, 100 audits per month, continuous online support for API, web, and service interfaces, unlimited projects, with an optional add-on for manual testing by real hackers (which can discover chained exploits scanners cannot catch, with a directly applicable fix attached to each finding, delivered within 3 business days).
  • Both plans include unlimited projects, the full six-stage engine, and all 56+ checks.
  • Each account also gets one free audit.
