Purpose
Anifusion is an AI tool for creating comics, Japanese manga, webcomics, and webtoons. It is positioned to help users without traditional drawing skills turn story text into editable comic pages. The official emphasis is "no external tools or skills required," bringing creation, animation, and polishing together in a single workspace.
Main Capabilities
Paneling and Layout: It provides comic panel presets and also supports building layouts yourself, using flexible grids to shape each page, suitable for comic beginners or those with serialization experience. After choosing a layout, describe the content of each panel in natural language, and the AI generates the artwork.
AI Image Generation: It supports multiple models and style examples, including color comics, black-and-white comics, superhero comics, and more. The example models listed on the official page are AnimagineXL 3.1, AnimagineXL 3.0, FLUX.1 Schnell, and FLUX.1 Dev.
Text and Dialogue: It supports vertical text and a variety of popular comic fonts, and you can choose different text styles and effects to enhance the expressiveness of panels.
Canvas Editing: It includes a built-in canvas editor for retouching generated pages; it also provides an infinite canvas for drawing, local repainting (inpaint), and repeated iteration, as well as a sketching feature.
Other Creative Capabilities: The official description also includes video generation, character sheets, animation, custom models, LoRA workflows, and more, all within the same workspace.
Publishing and Community: Works can be published to the community gallery, where you can browse comics, serials, and artwork generated by creators worldwide, participate in voting, and the top three compliant works by votes each week can receive extra credits. Personal profiles can add external sponsorship links for supported platforms, and readers pay on external platforms rather than within Anifusion.
How to Use
Registering a free account grants 100 credits, no credit card required. Enter the Comics workspace to start generating panel pages within minutes. In addition to the web workspace, the official offering provides a REST API and hosted MCP access, allowing Anifusion to be connected to your own applications or compatible AI clients for creating editable comics, private images, videos, character sheets, and LoRA workflows; a credit estimate is shown before each start. API and MCP access require a valid Creator or Pro subscription.
Publishing works to the community gallery requires a valid subscription, usernameand public homepage; open a work from the editor menu or the comics section to publish it. The title is required, and tags and a description can be added.
Use cases
- Turn story scripts or scene prompts into editable Japanese manga, Western comics, and webcomic drafts.
- Create vertical-scrolling comics in webtoon format.
- Generate reusable character sheets (six-view reference images) for use in later creations.
- Do anime-style drawing, local repainting, and iteration on an infinite canvas.
- Connect comic generation capabilities to your own tools or AI clients via the REST API or MCP.
Billing and limits
- Free registration grants 100 credits.
- The Creator plan is 2,000 credits per month, unused credits never expire, and it includes subscriber AI models, high-resolution exports, commercial use, publishing to the community gallery, team support, REST API, and hosted MCP access.
- The Pro plan is 10,000 credits per month, with a lower cost per credit than Creator, and includes a higher quota.
- Each AI operation consumes credits, with the amount depending on the model and operation type; subscription plans issue a fixed number of credits per billing cycle, unused credits can be carried over indefinitely; separately purchased credit packs are also added in full to the balance and remain after canceling a subscription.
- The official statement says created content can be used commercially, but you must comply with its terms of service, acceptable use policy, content policy, and the terms of the model providers, and you must have the appropriate rights to the input content and intended use.
- Custom plans for studios, agencies, and commercial teams with higher usage or special licensing needs are available, and you need to contact the official team for pricing.
- Currently only desktop devices are supported, not mobile, and the official reason given is that it is difficult to provide the same experience on mobile devices.
- The content policy prohibits pornography and other content intended for sexual gratification, and subscribing or NSFW labels do not change that rule. Works not published to the community gallery will not appear on the public homepage or community feed, but they are still stored and processed by the online service.
