About this tool

FlowCV is a free online resume builder focused on quickly creating professional, ATS-friendly resumes (CVs). According to the official page, its core purpose is to help job seekers build a usable resume within minutes, providing steps such as template selection, content filling, layout design, and PDF download.

Main capabilities

  • Offers 50+ or 100+ (the official page gives inconsistent numbers in two places) professionally designed templates, including ATS-friendly templates; users can also design and save their own templates.
  • Supports importing existing resume content; the official description says users can upload PDF, DOCX, PNG, and JPG files, or start from a blank page.
  • Layout and design can be adjusted; the official description says users have full control while keeping the process simple.
  • Resume drafts are automatically saved in the account, can be updated at any time, and PDFs can be downloaded unlimited times.
  • The official description says exports are clear text-based PDFs with embedded fonts and a simple structure, making them easy for ATS tools to read; even when using two-column templates, users concerned about older systems are advised to choose a single-column layout.

How to use

  1. Choose a template: pick from 50+ professional templates, or design and save your own.
  2. Add experience: fill in content, and the tool provides guidance; existing resumes can also be imported to speed things up.
  3. Customize layout and design: adjust it to match your personal style.
  4. Download PDF: drafts are saved automatically, and PDFs can be downloaded unlimited times.

Use cases

  • Job seekers who need to quickly create a professional resume.
  • Those who want to use it for free without download limits.
  • Resumes that need to avoid watermarks or branding.
  • Users concerned about privacy and GDPR compliance.

Limitations and notes

  • The official description clearly states that the free plan is limited to one resume free forever, and it does not provide a specific free policy for saving multiple resumes.
  • Regarding common questions such as whether FlowCV supports multiple languages, whether it can create cover letters, and why it is free, the materials only include the question titles and do not provide specific answers, so they are not provided here for now.
  • Information such as paid plans, specific pricing, more feature details, and whether it is fully AI-driven is not provided in the materials for now.
