Main capabilities and commitments
- Website attribution explanation: If a website uses AWeber to responsibly manage its email marketing campaigns, then that website is an AWeber customer.
- Send emails only after obtaining permission: Only after subscribers actively subscribe to its mailing list will the website send emails to subscribers, and it respects that permission.
- Content relevance: Send only emails related to the subscribed topic and the reason for subscribing.
- Compliance requirements: Comply with AWeber's anti-spam rules and anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM, and comply with AWeber's privacy policy and data processing terms.
- One-click unsubscribe: Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time with a mouse click.
How to unsubscribe At the end of every email from the website, an unsubscribe link will be included. After clicking that link, users will enter an unsubscribe page with two columns, "Subscribed" and "Unsubscribed". Click the button in the "Unsubscribed" column to complete the unsubscribe immediately.
Anti-spam and inbox protection mechanisms
- Automated testing: AWeber reviews customers' mailing lists through a variety of automated tests.
- Manual review: Staff manually review mailing lists to detect any signs of irresponsible email sending.
- Dual mechanism: Since it began managing email in 1998, this two-pronged approach has helped AWeber keep spammers out.
- Industry collaboration: To continue stopping spammers, AWeber exchanges and shares experience with multiple email industry and anti-spam organizations, such as the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group, Anti-Phishing Working Group, and Online Trust Alliance.
Report abuse If users believe they have received spam from an AWeber user, they can immediately report it to AWeber's anti-abuse team at [email protected].
