notion-mcp is a simple Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that manages a personal to-do list by integrating with Notion's API.
Purpose: This project aims to let users interact with Notion through the MCP protocol to manage a personal to-do list.
Main capabilities: It provides supporting functions, including show_all_todos (displays all tasks in the Notion workspace), add_todo (adds a new task to the Notion workspace), and complete_todo (updates an existing task in the Notion workspace).
Usage:
- Environment requirements: Python 3.11 or later; a Notion account with API access; a Notion integration token; a Notion page for managing the to-do list; the Claude Desktop client.
- Installation: You can automatically install Notion MCP for Claude Desktop via Smithery, or clone the repository and set up a Python environment.
- Configuration:
- Create a Notion integration: visit https://www.notion.so/my-integrations,创建新集成并复制 API key.
- Share the database/page with the integration: open the Notion workspace containing the database/table or page, click the "..." menu → "Add connections", and select your integration (search by name).
- Create a .env file and configure the Notion credentials in it.
- Use with Claude Desktop: adjust the claude_desktop_config.json file. Go to Claude Desktop → Settings → Developer → Edit Config, and add the Notion server configuration.
- Project structure: The repository contains the relevant folders and files; the specific structure is not provided yet.
Use cases: Suitable for users who need to manage personal Notion to-dos through Claude Desktop or other MCP clients.
Limitations: Users need to prepare their own Notion integration token, configure the .env file, and configure the Claude Desktop configuration file; other limitations are not provided yet.
