About this tool

Langflow is a platform for building and deploying AI agents and workflows, offering a visual authoring experience, with built-in API and MCP servers that turn each workflow into a tool that can be integrated into any framework or tech stack. It works out of the box and supports all major LLMs, vector databases, and a growing library of AI tools.

Main capabilities include: a visual builder interface for quick onboarding and iteration; support for customizing any component via Python, with access to the source code; an interactive Playground for step-by-step control and immediate testing and refinement of flows; multi-agent orchestration with conversation management and retrieval; deployable as an API or exportable as JSON for use in Python applications; deployable as an MCP server to turn flows into tools for MCP clients; support for observability integrations such as LangSmith and LangFuse; and enterprise-grade security and scalability.

How to use: Langflow Desktop is the easiest way to get started, with all dependencies included, no need to manage a Python environment or manually install packages, and support for Windows and macOS. It can also be installed locally: requires Python 3.10–3.14 and uv (the recommended package manager), and running the command in a fresh directory installs the latest package. Official release packages and tagged source code archives disable auto-login by default; before starting, you need to set LANGFLOW_SUPERUSER_PASSWORD, then log in with the username langflow (or the configured LANGFLOW_SUPERUSER); the development branch retains auto-login by default. After starting, visit http://127.0.0.1:7860。其他安装选项包括从源码运行(适合贡献者)、Docker to run (a strong password must be set; the official Docker image requires authentication by default), as well as deployment to major cloud platforms.

Use cases: suitable for developers who need to quickly experiment with and prototype AI flows, teams that need to integrate workflows into applications, and users who want to orchestrate multi-agent systems in a visual way.

Limitations: the complete list of all specifically supported LLMs, vector databases, and AI tool libraries is not yet provided; the specific steps and details for deploying to each cloud platform are not yet provided; the specific implementation details of enterprise-grade security and scalability are not yet provided.
