InnerCanvas is a private web tool located at innercanvas.app, intended for adults who want to take a structured drawing-based psychological test. Users choose a drawing task, draw in the browser or upload a clear image, and then receive a clear report that presents what is visible in the image separately from what is worth further thought. The tool is not affiliated with similarly named art therapy, counseling, or e-commerce services.
In terms of main capabilities, InnerCanvas offers 15 guided drawing tests. These include: House-Tree-Person (HTP), which asks for a house, a tree, and a person in one scene; the Tree Test (Baum), which invites reflection on growth, stability, boundaries, change, and a supportive environment; Draw-a-Person, which invites reflection on posture, agency, identity, social position, and expressive details; the Wartegg Drawing Completion Test, which asks for eight drawing fields to be completed on a sheet and invites reflection on handling ambiguity, structuring open tasks, switching ideas, and expressing emotional tone; the Diagnostic Drawing Series (DDS), which uses three panels for free drawing, drawing a tree, and depicting feelings with lines, shapes, and color; Kinetic House-Tree-Person (K-H-T-P), which asks for a house, a tree, and a person doing something in the same scene; Kinetic Family Drawing (KFD), which asks for a family doing something together; Draw Two People as a Couple; Bird's Nest Drawing; Person in the Rain under the stress and coping category; Draw a Bridge from One Place to Another and place yourself in the scene; Person Picking an Apple from a Tree (PPAT); Create a Drawing That Tells a Story under the imagination and narrative category; and the Silver Drawing Test, among others.
In terms of how it is used, users first choose a guided drawing test, then draw in the browser or upload a clear image (JPG, PNG, and HEIC formats are supported). Drafts are saved in the browser until submission. After submission, the drawing and minimal analysis context are sent to the configured model provider to generate a preview and full report. The full report separates image observations from possible reflections, includes personal exploration questions, and shows evidence strength, limitations, conflicting findings, and sources where applicable. Technical failures do not consume preview credits; submitted drawings, previews, and reports remain in the user's private account until the user deletes the content or account (except for transaction records required by law).
In terms of suitable scenarios, InnerCanvas is intended for adults aged 18 and older who want to reflect on drawings in a private, structured way. It is for adult self-reflection and education, and is not intended to diagnose, screen, treat, or validate mental health conditions, personality traits, trauma, intelligence, or protected characteristics, nor should it be used to make high-stakes decisions about others.Risk decisions.
