About this tool

binance-alpha-mcp is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server whose purpose is to track Binance Alpha trades to help AI agents optimize the accumulation of alpha points.

Main capabilities:

  • Real-time trade monitoring: By subscribing to on-chain events, it tracks buy-side activity of Binance Alpha tokens.
  • USD-based metrics: Uses CryptoCompare's real-time prices to calculate trade value in USD.
  • Data persistence: Stores trade data in memory and automatically cleans up records older than 1 hour.
  • MCP tools: Provides two tools—get_top_tokens and get_trade_stats.
  • Configurable endpoints: Uses separate WebSocket (WS_ENDPOINT) and HTTP (RPC_ENDPOINT) endpoints for event listening and token queries, respectively.

Usage:

  1. Environment requirements: Node.js version 18 or higher; npm for dependency management; BSC node access is required, including a WebSocket endpoint for event listening and an HTTP RPC endpoint for token queries (available from services such as Infura or QuikNode).
  2. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/kukapay/binance-alpha-mcp.git cd binance-alpha-mcp
  3. Install dependencies: npm install
  4. Configure the MCP client: To use this server in an MCP client such as Claude Desktop, add the following to the configuration file (or equivalent file): { "mcpServers": { "binance-alpha-mcp": { "command": "node", "args": ["/absolute/path/to/binance-alpha-mcp/index.js"], "env": { "WS_ENDPOINT": "your_ws_endpoint_url", "RPC_ENDPOINT": "your_rpc_endpoint_url" } } } } Replace /absolute/path/to/binance-alpha-mcp with the actual installation path, and update WS_ENDPOINT and RPC_ENDPOINT to your own endpoint URLs.

MCP tool descriptions:

  • get_top_tokens: Returns a markdown table of the top tokens sorted by USD trading volume. The input is { limit: number } (optional, default 10), specifying the number of tokens included in the output. Output example (period: last 23 minutes):

  • get_trade_stats: Returns statistics about the USD value of trades, including minimum, maximum, median, and distribution. The input is { buckets: number } (optional, default 10), specifying the number of buckets used to divide the trade distribution by USD value.
