Novelcrafter is an online writing platform focused on writers, positioned as a writing tool that combines planning, drafting, and AI assistance. It runs entirely in the browser, requires no software installation, and provides free learning resources, adapting to different writing habits and needs.
Main capabilities
- Structured planning and writing: Provides multiple planning modes to help authors examine their work from different perspectives, discover plot holes, worldview inconsistencies, or key node issues as early as possible, and continue to review them in subsequent creation.
- Codex setting encyclopedia: This is an encyclopedia system that automatically tracks and links information such as characters, locations, and background settings, used for brainstorming, writing, and review. Codex can be shared between books in the same series, avoiding repeated copy-pasting or repeated entry of the same information.
- AI-assisted creation: AI can be used to brainstorm, write, or review stories, and the degree of AI use is entirely controlled by the user; the tools work seamlessly together, with no need for repeated entry or copy-pasting between different tools; a flexible and customizable prompt system is provided for building personalized quick actions.
- Freedom of model access: Users can connect to the AI platform of their choice, or even run models on their own machine, without being locked into a specific vendor.
- Collaboration features: Supports inviting co-authors, friends, proofreaders, or editors to join a story or series, and provides team collaboration options for writing groups.
