Purpose

Meaning Table is a table recognition and data extraction tool for the Windows platform, mainly used to quickly extract table data from screenshots, images, PDFs, scanned documents, and other sources, reducing the workload of manual data organization and improving the efficiency of organizing office and research materials.

  • Multi-type table support: Supports extraction of general tables, borderless tables, financial reports, bank statements, and other tables.
  • Automatic recognition of header information: Can automatically recognize the preparing organization, monetary unit, and reporting period.
  • Export to Excel: Supports intelligent export to standardized Excel files.
  • Resident status bar: The program stays resident in the system status bar, supports shortcut key operations, and can be invoked at any time.
  • PDF and image table extraction: Can extract tables from PDFs and images, including complex tables containing merged cells, and also has recognition effects on some blurry tables.
  • Cross-comparison: Supports cross-comparison of Word, PDF, and scanned documents, with visual presentation of difference results.
  • Batch recognition and format conversion: Supports batch recognition of text and tables in PDFs, scanned documents, and images, as well as PDF format conversion and PDF reading annotation.
  • Lightweight installation: Developed with Tauri and Rust; the installation package is less than 10M.

How to Use

After downloading and installing Meaning Table, the program will stay resident in the system status bar. Users can invoke the screenshot recognition function via shortcut keys or the status bar icon, take a screenshot of the table area on the screen, and choose to preview the recognition results or save them to the clipboard, or export them as a standardized Excel file. For PDF and image files, table extraction can be performed directly; for multiple documents, the cross-comparison function can be used to view differences; the batch recognition function can process multiple PDFs, scanned documents, or image files at once.
