Purpose
cc-tempo is a status bar tool for Claude Code. Unlike other status bars that only show usage amounts, it focuses on displaying work speed: real working time, SubAgent speedup ratio, and code change pace, not just tokens and cost.
Main capabilities
- ⏱ Active working time: real wall-clock working time parsed from the transcript, rather than the inflated api_duration_ms.
- [1.8×] speedup ratio: shown when SubAgents bring a ≥ 1.2× parallel benefit.
- /clear recovery-capable timer: persists within the same claude process, and resets cleanly on a new claude invocation.
- Quality sparkline ▁▂▃▅▆▇█ ↑: shows the rate of code changes over the most recent 8 ticks, with a trend arrow.
- Multi-instance 2 active: shows the number of concurrent claude sessions in the same project directory.
Usage
Prerequisites: jq, bc, python3 ≥ 3.8, Node.js ≥ 18, git (on macOS you can run brew install jq bc). Add it to ~/.claude/settings.json, then restart Claude Code.
Applicable scenarios and limitations
Suitable for users who want to monitor Claude Code's actual work rhythm and parallel efficiency. The context percentage algorithm is adapted from CCometixLine. Licensed under MIT, copyright © 2026 O0000-code. Other detailed information is not provided for now.
