About this tool

Purpose

mcp-server-adfin is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server used to connect to Adfin's API. According to the project introduction, Adfin is positioned as "the only collections platform you need," centralizing all payments in one place and providing invoicing and accounting reconciliation capabilities. The goal of this server is to connect these Adfin capabilities to AI assistants, enabling the assistant to call the latest Adfin API tools to complete related operations.

Main Capabilities

According to the official description, after integration, the operations the AI assistant can help complete include:

  • request a credit control status
  • create a new invoice
  • upload multiple invoices from your folder

How to Use

The project requires Python 3.10 or later. The configuration process has three steps:

  1. Install uv:

    • MacOS/Linux:curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
    • Windows:powershell -ExecutionPolicy ByPass -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"
  2. Configure Claude Desktop: Download Claude Desktop, and after launching it, modify claude_desktop_config.jsonin Settings > Developer > Edit Config.

  3. Restart Claude Desktop, then ask the AI assistant to help complete the above operations.

The first time you open Claude Desktop with these settings, because the required packages need to be installed and the latest Adfin API documentation needs to be downloaded, the Adfin tools may take 10 to 20 seconds to appear in the interface. After that, each time you launch Claude Desktop, the AI assistant will have the latest Adfin API tools.

Use Cases

Suitable for users who want to handle Adfin payment, invoicing, and reconciliation-related tasks directly in AI assistant conversations, such as querying credit control status, creating invoices, or batch uploading invoices.
