About this tool

AquilaX is an AI-driven application security (AppSec) platform designed for DevSecOps teams. Its design goal is to run 32 security scanners in parallel in a single scan, covering source code, dependencies, containers, infrastructure as code, API endpoints, secrets, PII, and more, and it claims to return results within 60 seconds.

[Key Capabilities] The platform includes 12 categories of scanners: SAST (static application security testing, using data flow, taint, and control flow analysis, covering 100+ CWE categories), SCA (software composition analysis, identifying vulnerable, outdated, or potentially non-compliant open source dependencies, with real-time CVE tracking), DAST (dynamic application security testing, probing running applications, covering XSS, SQLi, SSRF, and access control flaws), Secrets (detecting hardcoded API keys, tokens, passwords, private keys, OAuth credentials, and cloud provider keys, covering all files and git history), PII (identifying personally identifiable information in source code and configuration), IaC (scanning Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, Dockerfiles, and Ansible playbooks), Container (scanning Docker images and base images for OS-level CVEs, misconfigurations, and system package vulnerabilities), API Security (analyzing OpenAPI/Swagger/GraphQL specifications, detecting object-level authorization flaws and excessive data exposure), Malware (detecting obfuscated malicious code, supply chain backdoors, typosquatted packages, and post-exploitation payloads), Vibe Code (a dedicated scanner for AI-generated code), Compliance (mapping findings to ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, DORA, NIS2, OWASP Top 10, and CWE Top 25 and generating audit reports), Review AI (AI code review, classifying true and false positives and generating contextual remediation suggestions).

[Securitron AI] At its core is the Securitron AI self-learning model, which is claimed to be trained on more than 300 million projects and to automatically train on the unique patterns, context, and developer behavior of a customer's codebase without manually defining rules. It automatically eliminates 93.54% of false positives, generates remediation patches for each confirmed finding, and automatically opens pull requests after verification. SAST uses data flow and taint analysis rather than pattern matching alone.

[How to Use] The platform integrates at the Git layer and triggers automatically: every push, PR, or scheduled run triggers all 32 scanners simultaneously, and results are aggregated and deduplicated in real time. It supports SARIF 2.1.0 (native to GitHub/GitLab), JSON, PDF, and CSV export, and each finding is mapped to a CWE ID, CVE reference, and OWASP category. It supports exposing security scans to AI coding assistants (such as Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf) through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It supports on-premises deployment on Docker, Kubernetes (Helm chart), and bare metal, is CPU-efficient, and requires no GPU.

[ASPM and CSPM] ASPM provides a unified view of application security posture across tools, teams, codebases, and SDLC stages, with AI agents automatically classifying, prioritizing, and remediating. CSPM extends security from code repositories to cloud deployments, continuously auditing AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes, detecting configuration drift, IAM risks, and runtime threats; it includes 9+ compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001, field-level IaC drift detection for Terraform and CloudFormation, visualization of IAM privilege escalation paths, eBPF runtime threat detection, and Kubernetes RBAC misconfiguration detection.

[Language and Ecosystem Support] SAST supports 17+ programming languages (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, Ruby, PHP, C, C++, C#, Rust, Swift, Scala, Dart, R, Shell). SCA covers npm, pip, Maven, Gradle, Cargo, Composer, Gemfile, Go modules, NuGet, CocoaPods, and Pub. IaC supports Terraform (HCL), AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes YAML, Helm charts, Dockerfile, Docker Compose, Ansible, and Pulumi. Container scanning supports Docker Hub images, private registries, and OCI-compatible images. The platform claims to be an NVIDIA Inception and Microsoft for Startups member as well as an official GitLab technology partner.

[Use cases] Suitable for DevSecOps teams that want to shift security left and automate vulnerability detection and remediation in CI/CD; engineering organizations that need unified application and cloud security posture, reduced false-positive noise, and automatically generated remediation PRs; and scenarios that require on-premises deployment, compliance auditing, and MCP integration with AI coding assistants.

[Plans and limitations] A free plan is offered, and all plans have unlimited scans with no per-scan fees. It claims to be 20–30% more cost-effective than traditional AppSec tools, is billed per developer license, and is invoiced on a single invoice. The free version includes secret scanning, PII detection, compliance auditing, unlimited scans, and CI/CD and IDE integration; Premium adds SAST, SCA, DAST, container security, API security scanning, and a total of 7 scanning engines; Ultimate adds malware detection, Vibe Code, the Securitron AI engine, AI remediation, and on-premises deployment. Enterprise and custom deployment pricing may vary due to on-premises installation, single tenancy, or managed services, and discounts are available for large-volume licenses. Details such as the specific performance of scanning speed for repositories exceeding 100,000 lines of code, whether the free plan includes all 32 scanners, and the refund policy are not yet provided in the materials.
