About this tool

Purpose

b2b-enrichment-mcp is a unified MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that combines Hunter.io's email lookup capabilities and Apollo.io's company intelligence capabilities, providing B2B lead enrichment functionality for Claude and Cursor. Its positioning is: lead generation workflows typically need two things—email addresses and company background information—while most MCP servers handle only one of them. This project handles both through a single server and a single configuration, with Claude performing cross-source orchestration.

Main capabilities

Hunter.io — Email intelligence

  • hunter_find_emails_by_domain: Retrieve all email addresses under a company's domain, including names, job titles, and confidence scores.
  • hunter_find_email: Find the most likely email address for a person based on name + domain.
  • hunter_verify_email: Check whether an email address is deliverable before sending.
  • hunter_count_emails: Count the number of indexed email addresses under a domain (free, does not consume credits).
  • hunter_check_account: View Hunter's remaining credits (free).

Apollo.io — Company and people intelligence

  • enrich_company: Retrieve a complete company profile, including employee count, revenue, funding, tech stack, and social information.
  • enrich_person_by_email: Retrieve a complete B2B personal profile from just an email address.
  • bulk_enrich_people: Enrich up to 10 contacts in a single API call.
  • enrich_person: Perform personal profile lookups by name + domain, LinkedIn URL, or email.

The material also mentions thatsearch_people and search_companies are also included, but require an Apollo Basic plan ($49/month).

Example queries

After the server is connected, you can copy the following queries into Claude or Cursor:

  • LinkedIn URL enrichment via Apollo (parse profile → complete contact)
  • Batch domain search—run Hunter domain search on a set of domains
  • Export results as CSV directly from Claude
  • Webhook support for asynchronous enrichment of large lists

Use cases

  • Email lookup and verification before B2B lead generation and sales outreach.
  • Supplementing personal profiles and company background for existing email lists.
  • Enriched lead research workflows across Hunter and Apollo data sources in Claude or Cursor.
  • Handling enrichment tasks for larger lists through CSV export or Webhook support.

Limitations

  • Requires Python 3.11+.
  • You need to obtain your own API keys for Hunter.io and Apollo.io.
  • search_people and search_companies require an Apollo Basic plan ($49/month).
  • The free tiers can cover common use cases, but higher usage or advanced search features may be limited by each service's own plans.
  • The project was built by @Aleksey-Panf. PRs are welcome, but for changes beyond small fixes, it is recommended to open an issue first.
