Meals.Chat is a chat app-based AI calorie and nutrition tracking tool. Its core idea is "photo in, calories out": users do not need to download a standalone app and can log meals directly in the chat software they already use.
Purpose: to help users record their daily diet and estimate calories, macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat), caffeine, and specific ingredients, so they can understand how far they are from their daily goals.
Main capabilities:
- Send a photo of any food or drink and get back calories, macronutrients, caffeine, and an ingredient list within seconds.
- You can describe food in one sentence (such as "chicken salad, no dressing") and also get a nutrition readout.
- Supports correcting the recognition result in one sentence (such as "no feta"), and the system recalculates.
- Each reply provides a consistent readout format, for example: SALMON, RICE AND GREENS — 640 kcal, Protein 42 g · Carbs 61 g · Fat 24 g, Day 1,025 / 1,800 · 775 left.
How to use:
- iMessage: send a photo or text to the specified number in Messages on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, just like messaging a friend.
- WhatsApp: chat directly in WhatsApp.
- Telegram: launch the original Meals.Chat bot in Telegram.
- iPhone app: offers a dedicated app with history and goal-setting features.
Use cases: suitable for users who want to log meals quickly and do not want to manually search food databases or create an account, especially for people who already use the above chat tools in daily life.
Limitations and pricing: free support for 15 meals, no account required, no database search required. Pricing for more meals or advanced features is not yet provided.
