About this tool

AegisGov SEC Intelligence MCP is an MCP service project that provides AI agents with the ability to access U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) EDGAR financial data. It was developed by AEGISGOVDAO and open-sourced on GitHub.

[Purpose] The main purpose of this project is to enable AI agents to query and retrieve regulatory disclosure information for U.S. listed companies. Through it, agents can search for listed companies, retrieve filings such as 10-K (annual reports), 10-Q (quarterly reports), and 8-K (material event announcements), and read XBRL structured financial data. The data comes directly from the SEC's official EDGAR system (data.sec.gov), covering more than 10,000 SEC-registered issuers. Official government data ensures accuracy and continuous updates.

[Main Capabilities]

  • Search U.S. listed companies
  • Retrieve SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Access XBRL financial data
  • Provided externally in the form of the MCP protocol, compatible with Claude, GPT, and any LLM toolchain
  • No API key required, directly connects to the official SEC EDGAR data source

[Usage] The project provides an online endpoint:https://aegisgov-sec-mcp.vercel.app Related documentation address:https://aegisgov.ai/sec-mcp GitHub repository:https://github.com/AEGISGOVDAO/aegisgov-sec-mcp Using this project does not require an account or an API key. The project is designed with the x402 protocol, which uses the HTTP 402 status code together with small USDC payments to implement per-use billing, allowing agents to complete payments autonomously.

[Billing and Network Support] The project is currently in the Free Beta stage, and all tools return real SEC data at no charge. The x402 USDC payment feature (supporting Base mainnet and Solana mainnet) will be enabled once ready. The networks supported by the project include: Base mainnet (eip155:8453) using USDC, and Solana mainnet (solana:5eykt4UsFv8P8NJdTREpY1vzqKqZKvdp) using USDC. The payment coordinator is PayAI, which provides a free quota and requires no key.

[Applicable Scenarios] It is suitable for scenarios that require AI agents to automatically obtain and analyze regulatory filing information and financial data of U.S. listed companies, such as financial research, investment analysis, compliance checks, and other agent workflows.

[Limitations] Facts such as pricing, the specific expiration time of the free quota, and detailed parameters and usage examples for each tool are not currently provided in the available materials.
