About this tool

Purpose

Job Board Keyword Signal Scanner MCP Server is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server used to scan a company's job board to find the positions the user cares about. It wraps the Mamba Labs Job Board Keyword Signal Scanner actor on Apify; all actual scanning work runs on Apify, and this package is just a lightweight client that calls that actor and returns the results.

Key Capabilities

  • Given a company domain and a set of role categories, scan for matching open positions across the five ATS platforms Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, and Rippling.
  • Built-in selectable role categories: GTM, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Executive; custom keyword arrays can also be passed in for scanning.
  • Returns flat JSON lines, including the number of matching positions per category and the job titles, the detected ATS platform, and optional change-tracking information.
  • Provides per-category counts via roles_by_category, with category-level signal scores.
  • Output is in Clay-ready format and can be used directly in Clay, CRM, or AI agent workflows.
  • Uses the same ATS cascading scan approach as Hiring Signal Scraper.

Usage

Environment Requirements

  • Node.js 18 or later
  • An Apify account and API token

Installation and Configuration

Add this server to your Claude Desktop configuration. At https://console.apify.com/account/integrations to get a token, paste it in and restart Claude Desktop, and you can then use the scan_job_board_keywords tool.

How It Works

Each call starts an actor run, polls until the run finishes, and then reads the dataset. A single run allows 1,800 seconds. If the call stops waiting while the run is still in progress, the call returns the run id and console link instead of timing out, so results are not lost.

This server itself does not contain scanning logic. For the complete input/output reference, pricing, and run history, see the Apify Store page:https://apify.com/mambalabs/job-board-keyword-signal-scanner

Use Cases

  • Check whether a company is hiring for positions in a specific category, for example, "Is stripe.com hiring engineers? Scan its job board for Engineering roles."
  • Check a company's open positions in categories such as GTM, Executive, Finance, Operations, and so on.
  • Use custom keywords (such as machine learning, platform) to scan a company's matching positions.
  • Connect scan results to Clay, CRM, or AI agent workflows for signal tracking and change tracking.

Limitations

  • Actual scanning depends on the Apify actor, requiring an Apify account and API token.
  • This server is a lightweight client and does not contain scanning logic.
  • A single actor run allows 1,800 seconds; in timeout cases, it returns the run id and console link.
  • For details such as pricing and the complete input/output schema, the official materials only point to the Apify Store page and do not elaborate in the main text.

This server is one of Mamba Labs' 54 MCP servers, each backed by a dedicated Apify actor and published on npm as @mambalabsdev. To install 21 of them at once, you can use @mambalabsdev/mcp-gtm-suite.
