Viora is a macOS voice AI assistant whose core idea is to turn "speaking" into a natural, continuous interface for interacting with a Mac. Users simply hold down a shortcut key and speak, and Viora determines whether the intent is input, editing, asking a question, or delegating a task, then completes the action directly in the current location. Main capabilities
- Speech-to-text input: Speak in any input field, and the content will be entered as text with appropriate tone and punctuation; the tone follows the context, and punctuation is handled by Viora.
- Rewriting selected text: After selecting text, say a sentence explaining how to modify it (tone, length, stance, etc.), and Viora will rewrite and replace it accordingly.
- In-place questions: After highlighting a passage, ask a question, and the answer will appear next to the original text (Agent popover), with no need to switch windows, copy and paste, or type.
- Agentic tasks: After delegating a task, Viora will execute it step by step, such as reading, writing, organizing, reminding, etc. Each step is visible and can be reviewed by the user.
How to use Users press the specified shortcut key and speak. Viora itself is not an app that needs to be opened separately, but exists within the Mac working environment, so users do not need to leave what they are currently doing. Today's voice content does not need to be repeated next time; Viora remembers what users have said, their preferences, and threads still in progress, and can understand their meaning when they speak again. It also organizes the day's to-dos, schedule, and follow-ups, visible when the Mac is woken, and reminds at appropriate times; for tasks left by the user (such as gathering materials or writing drafts), it also provides results when the user returns.
Memory and privacy Viora's memory is user-controllable, and all memories can be viewed, edited, or deleted with one click. Voice and text data are securely stored in the cloud, but will never be used to train any model.
Use cases Because it works at the Mac system level, Viora can be used in browsers, email, documents, chat tools, and all the places where users normally type.
Limitations and current status Viora currently focuses on macOS, and the desktop app is aimed at Mac workflows, obtained through the download process on the official website. Details such as the specific downloadable languages, free or paid plans, and system version requirements are not yet provided in the materials.
