About this tool

Adios MCP is a public installation packaging repository for a hosted MCP service, allowing users to manage Adios workspaces, previews, builds, logs, services, and production deployments across multiple MCP clients.

Purpose: Use Adios workspace, preview, build, log, and deployment capabilities through MCP clients such as Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Kimi Code, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT.

Main capabilities: Includes portable Agent Plugins v1 packages, Codex and Claude Code marketplace plugins, native Gemini CLI and Kimi Code extensions, two reusable workflows, connection examples, and a readable tool reference. The server runs on the Adios side, and users do not need to deploy anything from this repository. Tool calls use Adios OAuth and are scoped to the authenticated user and team. Connection metadata and tool schemas are public; operating workspaces or workloads requires an Adios account.

Usage:

  • Install in Codex: Register the GitHub marketplace, restart the ChatGPT desktop app, open Plugins, select the Adios marketplace, install Adios MCP, and complete OAuth as prompted. The plugin installs the remote MCP connection and two workflow skills. If you only want to connect the MCP server without installing the plugin, see examples/codex-config.toml for the equivalent config.toml.
  • Install in Claude Code: Register the marketplace and install the plugin, restart Claude Code or run /reload-plugins, then open /mcp and complete OAuth for the Adios server. The plugin installs the MCP connection and two workflow skills.
  • Install in Gemini CLI: Install the repository as a Gemini CLI extension, then restart Gemini CLI after installation. The extension loads the hosted MCP server and two workflow skills. If login does not start automatically, run /mcp auth adios in Gemini CLI and complete OAuth in the browser.
  • Install in Kimi Code: Install the repository from the Kimi Code plugin manager, and after the login command, complete OAuth in the browser. This plugin connects Kimi Code (including Kimi K3 sessions) to the hosted MCP server and loads two workflow skills.
  • Install as a portable Agent plugin: clients implementing Agent Plugins v1 automatically discover plugin.json, mcp.json, and skills/ in the root directory. For example, install the repository in GitHub Copilot CLI. The portable package launches npx -y @adiosdotdev/mcp, bridges stdio to the hosted endpoint, and completes Adios OAuth when the client connects.
  • Install skills only: have Codex use $skill-installer to install either GitHub path. Installing skills only does not configure the MCP server; add the adios MCP connection separately.
  • Use via npm: for MCP clients that launch local stdio commands, use the public npm package. Requires Node.js 20.18.1 or later and npm. The command launches a local bridge to the hosted Adios endpoint and opens OAuth when the client connects. Nothing from the Adios platform runs locally.
  • Other MCP clients: create a remote or Streamable HTTP MCP connection named adios using the specified URL. Have the client complete OAuth rather than adding a static token. If the client does not support Streamable HTTP, use the displayed SSE endpoint. Configuration field names vary by client.

Included workflows: adios-build-deploy: Create or import a workspace, update source code, validate adios.yaml, run lint/build, start a preview, and deploy after approval. adios-operate-debug: Inspect Git/runtime/command status, analyze logs, diagnose faults, and perform verified operational fixes.

Tool reference: Current tool groups and approval-sensitive operations are in docs/tool-reference.md. The live /tools endpoint remains the authoritative source. The Glama directory listing is in docs/glama.md, including build settings and hosted connector configuration.

Limits: Deployments, workload changes, runtime stops, remote Git pushes, and file deletions must remain approval-sensitive. Nevercommit Adios OAuth tokens, application credentials, or workspace secrets to this repository or the project source code.
