Video Text Remover

Video Text Remover is an online AI video text removal tool that removes subtitles, titles, promotional text, timestamps, and fixed labels burned into the footage from videos. Users upload MP4, MOV, or WebM videos (up to 2 GiB, 60 minutes, 1080p), select the text areas in the editor or use automatic detection, and the AI reconstructs the background to fill the text areas, preserving the original composition of the footage. After logging in, new accounts can try a free AI preview of the first 5 seconds; full processing requires purchasing a one-time credit pack, with no subscription and credits that do not expire. Processed videos can be viewed and downloaded from the dashboard, and task data is retained for 7 days.

About this tool

Video Text Remover is an AI-based online video text removal tool designed to help users remove hardcoded / burned-in subtitles, titles, promotional text, timestamps, and fixed labels from video footage without installing any editing software.

[Purpose] This tool is suitable for scenarios where existing text in a video needs to be cleared for re-editing, such as: clearing old subtitles before adding translated subtitles or a new subtitle style; updating outdated titles, prices, or promotional text; removing embedded dates, recording timestamps, and fixed labels, etc. It may only be used for videos that the user owns or is authorized to edit.

[Main Capabilities]

  1. Supports two text removal modes: selected area mode (the user manually selects the text areas, including outlines and shadows) and automatic detection mode (detecting text positions across frames).
  2. Uses AI background reconstruction technology to fill the text areas, preserving the original video composition rather than using blurring or cropping.
  3. Provides a real AI preview: after logging in, new accounts can try a free AI processing preview of the first 5 seconds, comparing the original and processed videos.
  4. The editor shows the estimated credit consumption before full processing, task status can be tracked, and results can be downloaded.
  5. Supports MP4, MOV, and WebM formats, up to 2 GiB, 60 minutes, 1080p (1920×1080 or equivalent vertical resolution), and checks codec compatibility before processing.

[How to Use]

  1. Open the online editor, select a local video file, and play it.
  2. Log in with a Google account and then upload the video.
  3. Select the text areas on the video (including outlines and shadows), or choose automatic detection mode.
  4. The editor displays the estimated credit consumption; new accounts can first preview the AI processing effect for the first 5 seconds for free.
  5. After confirmation, use a one-time credit pack to continue full video processing, and the task runs in the background.
  6. View the task status, compare the original and processed videos, and download the results through the dashboard.

[Pricing] No subscription; a one-time credit pack is used. Selected area mode consumes 1 credit per 5 seconds, and full-frame mode consumes 2 credits per 5 seconds (rounded up). Purchased credits do not expire, and there is no automatic renewal. Each account can try a free AI preview of the first 5 seconds once after logging in.

[Applicable Scenarios]

  • Clear burned-in subtitles in order to add new translations or subtitle styles.
  • Update promotional videos containing outdated titles, prices, or information.
  • Remove date stamps, recording timestamps, and fixed labels from videos.
  • Remove text watermarks (can be treated like other embedded textsame box selection).

[Limitations and Notes]

  • Input limits: maximum 2 GiB, 60 minutes, 1080p.
  • Processing effectiveness depends on text size, background detail, and motion. For changing subtitles, camera movement, water surfaces, vegetation, changing lighting, and similar scenes, repair consistency may be difficult to maintain; when text covers faces, fine textures, or fast motion, it is recommended to check whether the repaired area has distortion or flickering.
  • Manual selection defines a fixed area, not a motion-tracked mask; for moving text, the actual results need to be carefully checked.
  • If subtitles are on a separate track rather than burned into the picture, that track should be disabled or deleted in a compatible editor instead of using this tool.
  • Videos, previews, and results are provided through the account and expire after 7 days, so they need to be downloaded and kept promptly.
  • Processing time varies with video length, content, removal mode, and queue load, and no fixed completion time is promised.
  • You may only edit videos that you own or are authorized to modify, and you must retain any attribution required by the license.
