About this tool

Overview

reclaim-mcp-server is an unofficial MCP (Model Context Protocol) server not affiliated with Reclaim.ai. It enables Claude and GitLab Duo to manage Reclaim.ai tasks, habits, calendar events, and focus time through natural language. The project explicitly states that it is not endorsed by Reclaim.ai, uses its public API, and is used at your own risk.

Main Capabilities

The project provides 40 tools, covering categories such as tasks, calendar, habits, focus time, and analytics. The complete tool list can be found in the docs/TOOLS.md document in the repository.

How to Use

  1. Obtain an API key: visit https://app.reclaim.ai/settings/developer
  2. Configure Claude Desktop: the configuration file is located at ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  3. Restart Claude Desktop

Installation options include registries: PyPI, Smithery, Glama, GitHub, GitLab.

The exposed tools can be limited through RECLAIM_TOOL_PROFILE.

Note: the --directory flag should be used instead of cwd, because Claude Desktop does not follow cwd.

This server can be used with any MCP-compatible client and supports a generic stdio configuration.

Use Cases

Suitable for users who want to operate the Reclaim.ai calendar, tasks, and habits through an AI assistant using natural language. The project is built on FastMCP, uses the MIT license, and the author is Falko Sieverding (@UniversalAmateur).
