About this tool

Amazon MCP Server is a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server maintained by HasData, providing four read-only Amazon tools for MCP clients such as Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf. Users can have AI clients call these tools via natural language to convert Amazon search results, product pages, and seller store information into structured JSON, without running a browser or scraping library in their tech stack.

Main capabilities include: retrieving keyword search results (including ad placements, pagination information, price, ratings, delivery information, etc.); retrieving complete product details by ASIN (brand, features, variants, images, videos, specifications, review information, delivery estimates, current sellers, etc.); retrieving public seller profiles (seller ID, store link, name, address, rating windows including one month, three months, twelve months, and lifetime ratings); and browsing a seller's product catalog with pagination. All tools support switching between 23 regional marketplaces via the domain parameter and support the language parameter.

How to use: This is a remote server, and the simplest way is to use the URL and the x-api-key header. The server URL is https://mcp.hasdata.com/mcp?apis=amazon。支持 Clients with OAuth can add it directly as a connector and sign in. For clients that only support stdio, it can be integrated via the npm package @hasdata/amazon-mcp or the PyPI package hasdata-amazon-mcp as a lightweight launcher. The documentation provides configuration examples for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

Use cases: product price comparison, competitor analysis, keyword research, seller reputation assessment, inventory monitoring, and other automated workflows that need to retrieve public Amazon data. Compared with Amazon's official Product Advertising API, this tool does not require affiliate eligibility and is more suitable for research, monitoring, and agent automation tasks.

Limitations and notes: each successful call consumes 10 credits, and enabling otherSellers consumes an additional 5 credits. The free tier provides 1,000 credits per month, with a concurrency limit of 1 request. Paid plans start at $59 per month for 200,000 credits. ASINs and seller IDs may not be interchangeable across different marketplaces, search results do not include detailed information such as brand and features, and an additional product tool call is required. Prices may be missing, so check isAvailable. Delivery postal code and shipping location can affect results. When a search has no results, it returns an empty array rather than an error. This server is not affiliated with Amazon, uses only public data, and users must ensure compliant use themselves.
