What is SwiftEdit
SwiftEdit is a text-guided image editing framework launched by the VinAI Research team. Based on innovative one-step diffusion technology, it can achieve fast and high-quality image editing in 0.23 seconds. The core advantages of the tool lie in its one-step inversion framework and mask-guided editing technology, which make the editing process rapid, maintain a high degree of match with text prompts, and preserve key background elements of the image. SwiftEdit's efficient performance gives it significant application potential in the field of real-time image editing.
Main Features of SwiftEdit
- Fast text-guided image editing: Users guide image editing with simple text input, achieving instant editing results.
- One-step inversion framework: SwiftEdit can reconstruct images in one step, greatly reducing the time consumption of traditional multi-step inversion and sampling processes.
- Mask-guided editing technology: Using an attention rescaling mechanism, SwiftEdit performs local editing on specific areas of the image while preserving background elements.
- High-quality editing results: In an extremely short time, SwiftEdit can provide editing quality competitive with multi-step methods.
Technical Principles of SwiftEdit
- One-step inversion framework: The framework is inspired by encoder-based GAN inversion methods. SwiftEdit's framework is applicable to any input image and does not require domain-specific networks and retraining.
- Two-stage training strategy:
- First stage: Pre-train the inversion network with synthetic data generated by SwiftBrushv2.
- Second stage: Shift the focus to real images, allowing the inversion framework to instantly invert any input image without additional fine-tuning or retraining.
- Mask-guided editing technology (ARaM): During inference, SwiftEdit uses a self-guided editing mask to locate the editing area and applies attention rescaling technology to control editing strength, achieving high-quality editing results.
- Attention rescaling mechanism: Adjust the attention scale of different regions to control editing strength while preserving background elements, supporting greater editing flexibility in the editing area.
- Self-guided editing mask extraction: Automatically extract the editing mask by comparing the differences in inverted noise maps under different text prompts.
