The London, UK-based robotics AI decision-making system startup Stanhope AI announced today that it has raised £2.3 million in seed funding, led by UCL Technology Fund, with participation from Creator Fund, MMC Ventures, Moonfire Ventures, Rockmount Capital, and several angel investors.
The funds raised in this round will be used for the further development of Stanhope AI's agentic AI models and the practical application of its research.
Stanhope AI is developing a new approach to artificial intelligence that enables machines to make human-like decisions in the real world, such as drones or warehouse robots. The company calls its technology "Agentic AI"—artificial intelligence that can act and make decisions like a human.
Stanhope AI is a University College London-incubated company, founded with the support of the UCL School of Management by three experts in neuroscience and artificial intelligence—Professor Rosalyn Moran, Director Karl Friston, and Dr. Biswa Sengupta—and spun out from University College London in 2021.
