What is Smart PDFs
Smart PDFs is a free and open-source AI-driven PDF document summarization tool that can quickly organize key information from PDF documents into clear chapter-based summaries. It supports academic papers, industry reports, or technical documents, and can extract core points within seconds. It currently supports English. Users only need to upload a PDF file, select the language, and click "Generate" to obtain refined summary content, which can be viewed or shared. Smart PDFs uses the Next.js framework to build the frontend, combined with Tailwind CSS and TypeScript. The backend is supported by a Vercel Postgres database, and it uses the Llama 3.3 model on the Together AI platform to provide intelligent processing capabilities.
