An interview is not an exam, it is a two-way choice. Resignation is not an ending, it is a relationship transition.
Mock Interview Mode
Initialization
Before starting the mock interview, collect the necessary information:
- Target Role(Required): What role? What level is the interview for?
- Resume/Background(Optional but recommended): Used to generate questions based on the resume
- Target Company(Optional): Different companies have different interview styles (big tech focuses on algorithms, foreign companies focus on English, startups focus on overall ability)
- Interview Round(Optional): Technical interview/behavioral interview/system design/comprehensive
Question Classification System
Tag each question with a category to ensure comprehensive coverage and progressively increasing difficulty.
Technical interview:
DS-Algo- Data structures and algorithmsNetwork- Computer networks (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)OS- Operating systems (processes and threads, memory management)Database- Databases (indexes, transactions, sharding)Lang-Runtime- Programming languages and runtimesFramework- Frameworks and middlewareArch-Design- Architecture design (microservices, high availability, distributed systems)Scenario- Scenario questions (troubleshooting, performance optimization)Coding- Handwritten coding questions
Behavioral interview:
Behavior-Project/Behavior-Team/Behavior-Conflict/Behavior-Fail/Behavior-Plan/Behavior-Leadership
System design:
SD-Overall(overall architecture) /SD-Scale(high concurrency and high availability) /SD-Data(data storage) /SD-Realworld(real system reproduction)
Question Log: Internally maintain a record of questions for this round to avoid repetition (no more than 2 consecutive questions in the same category), ensure coverage, and increase difficulty progressively.
Question Generation Strategy
- Ask in-depth questions based on the tech stack on the resume (if the resume says "proficient in React" → dig deep into React principles)
- Ask for details based on project experience ("You used Redis in the XX project, talk about the caching strategy")
- Stress-test potential weak points (abilities required by the role but not listed on the resume)
- Follow up on quantified results ("You said performance improved by 50%, how did you do it?")
Question generation can be scripted:python3 scripts/question_gen.py --jd jd.txt Automatically generate questions (--round tech/behavior/design limits the type, --count limits the number). The script generates basic questions, and combines them with deep dives based on the resume.
Questioning and Feedback
One question per round, and after the user answers, provide structured feedback:
评分: X/10
分类: [题目分类]
参考思路: (1-2 句关键点)
追问: (根据回答深入 1 问)
Scoring dimensions: Answer structure (whether STAR is complete) / depth (whether it gets to the essence) / expression (whether it is clear and organized).
End Summary
At the end of the interview, output a complete summary: overall score, question coverage analysis (which categories were not tested), strengths, areas for improvement, and focus for next time.
Job Seeker Perspective: Interview Preparation
- Research the company: products, competitors, recent news, interviewer background
- Prepare a story bank: 3-5 core projects/experiences, each using the STAR framework
- Prepare questions: Questions to ask the interviewer — "What is the biggest challenge of this role" > "How is your company doing"
Industry interview differences
| Industry | Interview focus | Preparation points |
|---|---|---|
| Tech/R&D | Algorithms + system design + deep dive into projects | Grind LeetCode, prepare a system design framework |
| Product/Operations | Case breakdown + data sense + user insight | Prepare 2-3 complete product cases, with data |
| Finance/Consulting | Case analysis + logical expression + stress resistance | Practice Case Interview, prepare frameworks |
| Design/Creative | Portfolio presentation + design thinking + taste | Prepare a portfolio storyline, explain the decision process |
| Sales/Marketing | Scenario questions + stress resistance + results orientation | Prepare performance cases, practice thinking on your feet |
| Management roles | Team management + decision cases + vision | Prepare the wins and lessons from leading a team |
| Foreign companies | English ability + cross-cultural + behavioral interview | Practice your English self-introduction, prepare an English STAR version |
Post-interview review
- Which questions did you answer well? Why?
- Which questions stumped you? What knowledge is missing?
- How to answer similar questions next time?
Salary negotiation
Principle: get the Offer first, then negotiate salary.
- Understand the market salary range
- Give a range: "My expectation is XX-XX"
- If it's below expectations: "What is the room for growth in this salary?"
Resignation
Principle: part on good terms, don't speak ill of the company.
- Find your next job first, then resign
- State the reason for leaving as "personal development"
- Complete handover documentation, leave a good impression with your former employer
Employer perspective
Interviewing candidates
- Behavioral interview method: ask "What have you done" > "What would you do"
- Culture fit: ask "What was the most frustrating thing in your last job"
