About this skill

NotebookLM Exporter Skill

This Skill is used to wrap the notebooklm CLI into a set of stable common workflows, making it convenient for an AI assistant to directly complete NotebookLM's inspect, view, generate, export, and source management operations.

Use cases

  • Check whether notebooklm-py is installed and logged in
  • List notebooks, sources, and artifacts
  • View notebook summary, metadata, source guide, and source fulltext
  • Add URL, file, text, and research sources to a notebook
  • Generate audio、video、infographic、report、quiz、flashcards、mind-map、data-table、slide-deck
  • Download or export artifacts already generated by NotebookLM

Dependencies

  • Installed locally: notebooklm-py
  • Completed once: notebooklm login
  • It is recommended to always use the full notebook ID, and not rely on long titles; some shared notebooks have unstable support for UUID prefixes

The first installation usually requires:

pip install "notebooklm-py[browser]"
playwright install chromium
notebooklm login

Notes

  • This Skill is only a wrapper layer for NotebookLM and will not bypass NotebookLM login
  • The wrapper script prioritizes -n <full-notebook-id>, to avoid notebooklm use "<title>" being unstable on shared notebooks
