On March 28, 2024, the computer vision startup headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, Robovision announced it has raised $42 million in Series A funding, led by Target Global and Astanor Ventures, to expand its business in the United States.
The company plans to use the funds raised in this round to accelerate its expansion in the United States and invest in research and development and growth in existing markets.
Founded in 2012, Robovision has developed an AI-driven computer vision platform that gives machines visual capabilities, helping customers automate processes without code, such as using 2D and 3D image recognition algorithms to help automate the process of sorting and planting tulip bulbs. The company says the platform integrates with more than 1,000 robots in 40 different countries.
