On April 2, 2024, the Seattle-based AI meeting content summarization platform Read AI announced it raised $21 million in Series A funding, led by Goodwater Capital and Madrona Venture Group. In addition to summarizing meeting minutes, the company has newly added AI-generated summaries of email conversations and chat message threads.
Read AI was founded in 2021 by David Shim, Elliott Waldron, and Rob Williams. Through AI-generated summaries, transcripts, replays, and highlights, it enables users to review meetings, emails, and messages more efficiently. Read AI is now available for Google Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, Slack, and Microsoft Teams as a free service offered to all users.
