On April 24, 2024, the AI-driven telemarketing startup headquartered in San Francisco, USA, Nooks announced it had raised $22 million in Series A funding. The round was led by former Stripe executive Lachy Groom, with participation from Tola Capital and Stifel Venture Banking.

The company plans to use the raised funds to further develop its AI platform to automate repetitive tasks often performed by sales representatives.

Nooks was founded by Dan Lee in 2020, and its main business is providing automation tools for sales teams to improve sales efficiency. The company's initial idea was to build a remote work collaboration platform to make work in digital spaces smarter and more effective than in real life, but due to the post-pandemic transition back to the office, this idea failed to gain sufficient traction. Nooks pivoted to using AI technology to help sales representatives avoid the mechanical parts of sales calls, such as skipping numbers when no one answers, and providing note-taking, call recording, and invalidation handling features. In addition, Nooks also offers call transcription and scoring features, and can integrate with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot, as well as sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, SalesLoft, and Apollo. Currently, Nooks already has more than 200 customers and has cumulatively raised over $26 million in venture funding.
