On April 2, 2024, Los Gatos, California-based AI video surveillance system startup Lumana announced it has raised $24 million in seed funding, led by Norwest Venture Partners and S Capital.
Founded in 2021, Lumana's technology can transform any security camera into an AI-powered device capable of recognizing complex events and potential risks as they occur. Lumana's video security platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) and a distributed hybrid cloud architecture to enable organizations to fully leverage their visual data, enhancing security measures, improving operational efficiency, and streamlining incident response.
