On May 28, 2024, the enterprise large model testing and evaluation platform headquartered in Dublin, Ireland,Inspeq AIannounced it has raised $1.1 million in Pre-A round financing. This round was led by Sure Valley Ventures, with participation from Delta Partners, Founders (a talent accelerator funded by NDRC), Plug and Play, and several angel investors including former Meta Ireland Managing Director Rick Kelly, former Salesforce Vice President Cyril Tracy, Gong EMEA Head Shantanu Shekhar, BT UK Senior Director of Data and AI Debjani Roy, Cork angel investors Bill and Leonard Lynch, and unicorn founders Gaurav Singh Kushwaha and Prateek Dixit.
The company plans to use the raised funds to expand its team in applied AI, data science, and full-stack development, and to expand its operations in Ireland, London, and India.
Inspeq AI was founded in 2023 by Apoorva Kumar and Ramanujam Macharla Vijayakumar. They previously worked at Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and LinkedIn, responsible for building and leading robust and scalable AI products. Inspeq AI's main business is to assist developers developing general artificial intelligence (Gen AI), covering a platform from testing, evaluation to monitoring, performance, and B2B and enterprise-level AI applications. The company claims that by solving AI performance issues in the LLM development lifecycle, ensuring optimal safety and ethical compliance, it can reduce safety and hallucination issues by up to 80%, and claims its work improves LLM performance by 90%.
