What is InfiniteYou
InfiniteYou (InfU) is an identity-preservingimage generationframework launched by ByteDance's Intelligent Creation team, based on Diffusion Transformers (such as FLUX). Based on InfuseNet, it injects identity features into the diffusion model, enhances identity similarity, and maintains image generation capability. InfiniteYou combines a multi-stage training strategy, including pretraining and supervised fine-tuning (SFT), using synthetic Single-Person Multi-Sample (SPMS) data to improve text-image alignment, image quality, and aesthetic effects. InfiniteYou delivers excellent performance and strong compatibility, making important contributions to the field of generative AI.

Technical Principles of InfiniteYou
- InfuseNet: InfuseNet is the core component of InfiniteYou, similar to ControlNet, and injects identity features into the diffusion model (such as FLUX). Identity features are injected into the diffusion model based on residual connections, avoiding direct modification of the attention layers and reducing the negative impact on the base model's generation capability.
- Pretraining Stage: Pretraining is performed based on real Single-Person Single-Sample (SPSS) data to learn the reconstruction capability of identity images.
- Supervised Fine-Tuning Stage: Fine-tuning is performed based on synthetic Single-Person Multi-Sample (SPMS) data to improve text-image alignment, image quality, and aesthetic effects.
- Diffusion Transformers: Advanced Diffusion Transformers (such as FLUX) are used as the base model, and the model performs excellently in image generation. Diffusion Transformers support the generation of high-quality, high-resolution images, providing a strong foundation for identity-preserving image generation.
