What is I2VEdit
I2VEdit is an advanced video editing framework that achieves first-frame-guided video editing through image-to-video diffusion models. Users only need to edit the first frame of a video, and I2VEdit can automatically apply the editing effect to the entire video. I2VEdit is jointly launched by Nanyang Technological University, SenseTime Research Institute, and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. It can maintain the temporal and motion consistency of the video while providing high-quality editing results. I2VEdit is suitable for local and global editing tasks, such as changing clothing, adding accessories, or style transfer, simplifying the video editing process.

- Coarse Motion Extraction: Learns coarse motion patterns in the video based on a trained motion LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) model.
- Appearance Refinement: Uses a fine-grained attention matching algorithm for precise appearance adjustment.
- Smooth Area Random Perturbation (SARP): Adds random perturbations to smooth areas in the video to improve the quality of image-to-video conversion.
- Interval Skipping Strategy: When processing long videos, an interval skipping strategy is adopted to reduce quality degradation during the autoregressive generation process.
- Diffusion Model: Based on a pre-trained image-to-video diffusion model, propagates the edit from the first frame to the entire video.
