On June 5, 2024, the New York, USA-based AI to-do task management software startupHoopannounced it has raised $5 million in seed funding, led by Index Ventures, with participation from Origin Ventures, Divergent Capital, and Chingona Ventures.
The company plans to use the raised funds to deepen its AI capabilities, expand platform integrations, and develop collaboration features.
Hoop was founded in 2022 by former Trello executives Garber, Brian Schmidt, and Justin Gallagher. The company's app creates an automatically updating to-do list by automatically aggregating tasks from platforms such as Google Meet, Slack, Zoom, and email. Unlike other AI platforms that join meetings to provide extensive transcripts, Hoop can identify and help prioritize tasks, enabling attendees to stay focused and responsive without having to take down action items. Hoop is currently available for individual use, with a team version to be launched later.
