On April 24, 2024, the artificial intelligence computing infrastructure startup headquartered in Paris, France, FlexAI announced it had raised 28.5 million euros (approximately $30 million) in seed funding. Investors in this round include Alpha Intelligence Capital (AIC), Elaia Partners, and Heartcore Capital as lead investors, with Frst Capital, Motier Ventures, Partech, and InstaDeep CEO Karim Beguir participating as follow-on investors.

The company plans to use the raised funds to simplify the computing infrastructure for developers building and training artificial intelligence applications, and to launch its first product, an AI training cloud service offering.

FlexAI was founded in October 2023 by Brijesh Tripathi and Dali Kilani. Brijesh Tripathi was formerly a senior design engineer at GPU giant Nvidia, and held senior engineering and architecture positions at Apple, Tesla (reporting directly to Elon Musk), Zoox (an autonomous driving startup acquired by Amazon), and Intel's AI and supercomputing platform AXG. Dali Kilani held various technical roles at companies such as Nvidia and Zynga, and served as CTO at the French startup Lifen, which develops digital infrastructure for the healthcare industry. FlexAI's goal is to provide a "universal AI compute" platform that allows developers to run workloads and deploy AI models on different architectures, paying by usage rather than renting GPUs by the hour.
