On April 9, 2024, New York-based AI data security startup Cyera confirmed it has raised a $300 million Series C funding round at a valuation of $1.4 billion. Investors in this round include Coatue, Spark Capital, Georgian, AT&T Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Accel, Redpoint, and Cyberstarts.
Cyera was founded in 2021. The company has built an AI-based data security platform that helps enterprises understand the location and movement of all data in their networks, so as to protect enterprise data from cyberattacks or prevent data from being accidentally leaked into large language models. In short, Cyera has built a platform that can conduct a comprehensive assessment of an organization's data, where the data is created, where it is stored, and where it is used.
