How to use Chatlog

  • Install ChatLog：
    • Precompiled version: Visit ChatLog Releases. Download the version suitable for your system (Windows, macOS, Linux). After decompression, run chatlog.exe (Windows) or ./chatlog (macOS/Linux).
    • Source installation (requires Go environment)：go install github.com/sjzar/chatlog@latest
  • Start ChatLog: After running the program, enter the Terminal UI interface, use the ↑ and ↓ keys to select menus, press Enter to confirm, press Esc to return, and press Ctrl+C to exit.
  • Decrypt chat logs: Select "Decrypt Data" in the interface. Enter the WeChat encryption key. Wait for decryption to complete.
  • Start HTTP service: Select "Start HTTP Service" in the interface. The default address is http://127.0.0.1:5030。
  • Use HTTP API：
    • Query chat logs：GET /api/v1/chatlog?time=2024-01-01&talker=wxid_xxx。
    • Query contacts：GET /api/v1/contact。
    • Query group chats：GET /api/v1/chatroom。
    • Query sessions：GET /api/v1/session。
  • Multimedia content access：
    • Images：GET /image/<id>。
    • Videos：GET /video/<id>。
    • Files：GET /file/<id>。
    • Voice：GET /voice/<id>。
  • MCP integration: Start ChatLog to enable the HTTP service. Add http://127.0.0.1:5030/sse as an SSE Endpoint in an AI assistant (such as ChatWise). Complete the configuration according to the AI assistant's documentation.
