March 25, 2024 news: The Stockholm, Sweden-based startup that uses AI to detect workplace safety, Buddywise has raised €3.5M in seed funding. The round was co-led by J12 and Kvanted, with participation from existing investors Aligned and Antler, as well as Soundcloud founder Eric Quidenus-Wahlforss.
The company plans to use the raised funds to accelerate the recruitment of top business and technical talent, and to further expand its existing customer base of international industrial enterprises in order to launch the company's commercial expansion in Europe.
Buddywise was founded in 2020 and uses machine learning and computer vision to detect workplace safety risks, then organizes these risk data to prevent further accidents. Industrial customers connect their existing camera infrastructure to the Buddywise platform, which uses algorithmic analysis of the footage to flag potential risks.
