Bird 是面向 X/Twitter 的 CLI 工具，适合在终端中读取与检索平台内容。安装方式包括 npm install -g @steipete/bird、pnpm add -g @steipete/bird、bun add -g @steipete/bird，或 brew install steipete/tap/bird；也可用 bunx @steipete/bird whoami 免安装运行。
主要能力：读取单条推文（bird read <url-or-id>）、线程（bird thread）与回复（bird replies）；搜索推文（bird search "query" -n 10，支持 from: 与 since: 等过滤）；获取用户推文与提及（bird user-tweets、bird mentions）；管理书签（bird bookmarks、bird unbookmark）；获取新闻与趋势（bird news --ai-only、bird trending）。多数命令支持 --json，便于用 jq 处理。也提供发推与回复命令（bird tweet、bird reply），但资料建议谨慎使用。
认证基于 Cookie，无需 API 密钥，可通过 --auth-token/--ct0 直接传入，或用 --cookie-source 读取 Safari、Chrome、Firefox 等浏览器 Cookie，统一异常时可用 --firefox-profile、--chrome-profile-dir 等参数。配置可写在 ~/.config/bird/config.json5 或项目内 ./.birdrc.json5，也支持 BIRD_TIMEOUT_MS 等环境变量。
限制：使用未公开的 X/Twitter GraphQL API，可能随时失效；存在速率限制，可用 --delay 缓解；推荐以只读用途为主，发推可能触发封禁；分页在部分命令需配合 --all 或 --cursor 与 --max-pages。若遇 404 可执行 bird query-ids --fresh 刷新查询 ID。详细命令见其 references/commands.md。
