About this skill

Doubao Ya · Comprehensive Hot Topic Selection (Direct retrieval without keywords → intelligent matching with personal IP → topic selection)

This Ya's one-sentence positioning:First directly retrieve comprehensive hot topics (without keywords, pull down the hottest batch across the entire internet right now) → then intelligently match with the user's personal IP positioning → produce a directly actionable topic selection list.

Applicable to: content creators, self-media operators, WeChat official account/short video authors, marketing/brand planners, and those who chase hot topics for topic selection.

❌ The most critical rule (remember this first) Do not use the user's account name / IP name as a keyword to search. For example, if the user's WeChat official account is called “Rapeseed Oil”—“Rapeseed Oil” iswho he is(field/persona/audience), not a search term. Throwing it into the search interface will only return content with the “literal same name” (real rapeseed oil products/science popularization), which is completely worthless for topic selection. Comprehensive hot topics should be directly retrieved using a keyword-free hot list interface; the IP name is only used for later matching and filtering, and must never enter the search interface.

1. Get the key (DOUBAOYA_API_KEY)

Calling the interface requires a key (API Key). Four steps to get the key:

  1. Open doubaoya.com
  2. Log in
  3. Enter Key Center
  4. Click Generate Key

The key looks like dyh_xxxxxxxx. After obtaining it, configure it into the environment variable:

export DOUBAOYA_API_KEY="dyh_xxxxxxxx"
Variable name Description Required
DOUBAOYA_API_KEY Doubao Ya key, looks like dyh_… Yes

Security convention:Never print the key, write it into logs, paste it into conversations, or commit it into repositories. The script only uses it in request headers and will not echo it.

2. Run the script

Zero dependencies, standard library is enough (Python 3).By default, no keywords are included = direct retrieval of comprehensive hot topics.

# 直取综合热点(无关键词,把当下全网最热的一批拉下来)——选题的正确起手
python3 "$SKILL_PATH/scripts/fetch_trends.py"

# 只是想收窄平台(依然不带关键词、不带时间窗)
python3 "$SKILL_PATH/scripts/fetch_trends.py" --platforms 2,5,8

🔴 Do not frame a time window. The hot list is a "current snapshot", not a traceable time series—tested (2026-08-13), adding any time interval cuts the results into scattered few items (even "today 00:00 to now", which looks like the most reasonable window, leaves only 2 items), only when no date is passed does it fall back to the complete latest batch(tested 130+ items).--start-date / --end-date It is now not passed by default, unless you know exactly what you want, do not add it.

CLI parameters:

Parameter Description Default
--platforms Comma-separated platform numbers (integers), such as 2,5,8 2,5,8
--keywords Comma-separated keywords.By default not included (direct retrieval of comprehensive hot topics). Only use it when “you clearly want to see the hot list for a certain vertical term”—never use the account name/IP name Empty (not included)
--start-date Interval start datetime "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS"。Daily side story, with a time window it will cut the hot list very sporadically not passed
--end-date interval end datetime "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS". Same as above not passed

3. Workflow (the 4-step standard action recommended by this duck)

Step 1 — directly fetch comprehensive hot topics (no keywords)

This stepdo not carry keywords, is to directly pull down the hottest batch across the entire web right now:

python3 "$SKILL_PATH/scripts/fetch_trends.py"

Get a cross-platform (Weibo/Douyin/Bilibili...) comprehensive hot list.

Hot list item fields (defensive reading, skip if missing):

  • title title
  • hotCount hot count
  • index platform rank
  • url jump link
  • Groups are usually wbList(Weibo) / dyList(Douyin) / bzList(Bilibili), and may also fall under items / groups —read according to the actual returned structure。

Step 2 — clarify the personal IP positioning (key correction)

This is the step most likely to be done wrong. The user's account name / IP name (for example "菜籽油")is not a search keyword, it identifieswho this IP is:

  • Domain: what content track does he do?
  • Persona / angle: in what identity and from what perspective does he speak?
  • Audience: who is watching him?

Fromthe user himselfor hisidentity profile / context(bio, past viral posts, official account positioning, etc.) get this IP positioning.If unclear, ask the user directly("What content does your account usually do, who is it for, and what is your unique perspective?").

Never throw the IP name into the search interface. IP is only used for the matching filter in the next step.

Step 3 — intelligent matching (comprehensive hot topics × IP positioning)

Scan the comprehensive hot list from Step 1 and pick out this IP's that can credibly ride the trend2–3 hot topics. Look at two criteria together:

  • Heat:hotCount high, andcross-platform overlap(the same thing trending on multiple platforms) takes priority — this is the hardest web-wide hot topic right now.
  • IP fit: with this IP's real persona/perspective, can this hot topic be naturally picked up? If not (no matter how hot), let it go for now.

For each selected hot topic, write outthis IP's exclusive angle— ride the trend from the persona's real perspective, rather than just moving the hot topic over. Sort comprehensively by "heat + IP fit".

Step 4 — output the topic list

Produce 3–5 directly actionable topics, and for each clearly explain three things:

  1. which hot topic is being leveraged(which one on the list, how hot, on which platforms)
  2. my IP's exclusive angle(with this persona/audience, how I pick up this hot topic, the angle others cannot)
  3. why it can explode now(timing + this IP's momentum + the spread power of this hot topic)

For the wrap-up, you can use this duck's tone to give one overall judgment: among these items, which is most worthdoing first today。

4. Interface Contract

  • Interface:POST https://doubaoya.com/api/apis/trend/trending-hub-keyword/call (the name contains keyword, butit also works as usual without keywords—if you don't pass keywords it's direct fetching of综合热点.)
  • Authentication: request header Authorization: Bearer $DOUBAOYA_API_KEY
  • request body (direct fetching of综合热点, without keywords):
    { "platforms": [2, 5, 8] }

    • platforms: integer array (platform IDs)
    • keywords: string array,optional; by default, if not passed, it's direct fetching of综合热点 (never put account names/IP names)
    • startDate / endDate: datetime string "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS",optional and normally don't pass it— the hot list is a current snapshot; adding a time window will only cut the results into fragments
  • Return envelope:
    {
      "success": true,
      "requestId": "…",
      "data": { "wbList": [ { "title": "…", "hotCount": 123, "index": 1, "url": "…" } ], "dyList": [ … ], "bzList": [ … ] },
      "error": null
    }

    • First check success:true only then read data; otherwise read error.code / error.message。
    • Hot list entries may be grouped under wbList / dyList / bzList, or may fall under items / groups —read defensively according to the actual structure, and skip missing fields.

5. Error Codes

HTTP code Meaning / Handling
401 MISSING_API_KEY / UNAUTHORIZED No key provided or invalid key → check DOUBAOYA_API_KEY, go to the key center to regenerate
400 VALIDATION_ERROR Incorrect parameter → check platforms(integer) and other values
402 INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS Insufficient quota → go to doubaoya.com to top up/renew quota
502 PROVIDER_FAILED Temporary upstream failure,automatically refunded, safe to retry → just rerun later

The script will send failures uniformly to stderr:[error] code: message, and exit with exit code 1.

7. FAQ

Q: The user's official account is called "菜籽油". Should I search for "菜籽油"? A:No! That is his IP name (who he is), not a search term. Searching for it will only find content with the same literal name. The correct approach: Step 1, directly fetch综合热点 without keywords; Step 2, understand "菜籽油" as his domain/persona/audience; Step 3, use it tomatch and filterthe hot list.

Q: Prompt "missing environment variable DOUBAOYA_API_KEY"? A: First export DOUBAOYA_API_KEY="dyh_…"(go to doubaoya.com → log in → key center → generate key).

Q: When should --keywords? A: Only when the userexplicitly says"I just want to see the hot list for a certain vertical term (such as AI, camping)" should it be included. The default starting point for topic selection is alwaysdirect fetching without keywords。

Q: How do I fill in the platform ID? A: Fill in an integer (such as 2,5,8). Which platform a specific ID corresponds to is subject to the doubaoya.com interface.

Q: Report 502 PROVIDER_FAILED? A: Temporary upstream jitter, the systemhas automatically refunded, just rerun directly.
