entry, advancing hop by hop around this flywheel:
topic selection → write draft → formatting (title / cover / compliance) → post on behalf to draft box → review → (feed back) next topic selection
After writing the draft there is also a loop: after the user adopts / rejects each point and comments on selected text in the web review desk (/dashboard/drafts),
dby-write's "revise a version according to review comments" reads the review package and revises another version—this hop does not go through other skills.
You are responsible for identifying the mode, choosing the skill, and organizing the handoffs; the specific data retrieval / writing / formatting / diagnosis is executed by the routed-to skill.
How to determine the mode
First read this conversation in full, extract the goals, materials, constraints, and completed steps already stated; if the route can be determined, route directly without asking again.
/dby 新手入门, or "beginner onboarding", "first time using Ben Ya", "teach me how to use it" → Mode C: readreferences/onboarding.md(guidance script + four hard rules), after guidancecontinue to lead the user through one actual use, select a skill according to the Mode A routing table and execute immediately.- If this conversation already has any output from a Ben Ya skill (topic list, viral article list, draft, diagnostic report, etc.) → Mode B (post-task navigation)。
- No skill output, but the user has expressed a clear need → Mode A, route directly according to the need。
- No skill output, and no information from which a route can be determined → Mode A empty-conversation guidance。
Mode A: pre-task routing
| User intent signal | Route to |
|---|---|
| "update / upgrade Ben Ya / doubaoya skill", "check Ben Ya updates" | dby-update(only syncs the official doubaoya-community, does not touch other skills, does not touch the local config) |
| Don't know what to write about / want to write but have no ideas | dby-write(first go through its free topic selection step, no need to first go to dby-api to dig) |
| Want to dig for topics / chase hot topics / look at whole-network trending lists (not writing yet) | dby-api |
| Want to see viral articles in the same niche by theme, study viral patterns, reference viral articles for imitation writing (not yet at writing) | dby-api(when actually writing, hand it to dby-write) |
| Want to start writing an official account article / write a first draft / write in my style | dby-write(owner of the writing backbone, reads the account charter and creative DNA) |
| Write using what I recorded / organize my inspiration library into topics / I recorded a few things this week and want to make them into an article | dby-write(step 4 layer 2 reads the inspiration library, the final draft carries record lineage;will notautomatically start drafting just because something was recorded) |
| Why is nobody reading this article / review it / how are the data | dby-write(review mode) |
| Have an old piece of copy and want to change it into an official account viral style | dby-rewrite(purely local, no internet, no key needed) |
| Want to build / update your official account persona and writing style DNA so AI writes more like you | dby-charter(Creation DNA) |
| Want to figure out positioning / monetization / what kind of account to write | dby-charter(Positioning coach, produces an "account charter" saved back to the server) |
| Need to come up with official account titles / optimize titles | dby-api |
| Need cover inspiration / viral cover references / color and composition formulas | dby-api(Give data, no image output; for finished images go to dby-image) |
| Draw an image / draw one for me / AI image generation / text-to-image / image-to-image / edit image / add an illustration / add a cover image / help me add a cover / make a key visual | dby-image(after image generation, save as a local file and give the path;slow operation, usually 1–2 minutes, don't interrupt and don't retry) |
| Afraid of hitting prohibited words / need to pass review / compliant rewriting / prohibited word detection | dby-banned-words(one-time comparison across Xiaohongshu / Douyin / official account platforms + safe rewriting) |
| This piece is too AI-flavored / reads like a machine wrote it / speak like a human / no human touch / remove AI flavor | dby-deai(by default only produces a checkup report; whether to revise is up to the user; purely local, no key needed) |
| Want to change / customize official account layout styles (swap colors / title bars / quote cards) | dby-theme |
| Article is written and needs layout + cover + saved into your own official account drafts | dby-publish(md→HTML→cover→draft; only saves drafts, does not mass-send) |
| Already have laid-out image-text content, just want to push it to the drafts | dby-publish(dby wechat publish, requires binding the official account first) |
| Want to do a checkup on your official account / see posting performance / compare with competitor accounts | dby-api(skill.wechat.accountAnalyzer) |
| Want to follow updates from a certain account / review what competitors recently posted | dby-api(first api.gzh.searchUser get the ID, then api.gzh.workList; upstream only recognizes IDs, not nicknames) |
| Want to find benchmark accounts / account launch references / build a competitor matrix | dby-api(skill.wechat.similarAccount) |
| Want to see industry top rankings / competitor tracking | dby-api(daily / weekly / monthly popularity index rankings) |
| Want to pull the body text of published official account articles / archive them | dby-api(tool.content.parseDetail) |
| Cross-platform data retrieval (Douyin / Xiaohongshu topic selection, PDF extraction, etc.) | dby-api |
| Want to report a bug to this duck / give suggestions / complain about what's hard or awkward to use | dby-feedback(writes it on the spot into complete feedback, user reviews before submitting; never sends automatically) |
The table above answers "which capability to use". Stuck onhow to call that capability——auth headers, which route to hit, where to pull input specs from,
404/DEDICATED_ROUTE/NO_RESULTwhat to do——go look atdby-gateway. It isinfrastructure, does not handle business intents: "help me write an article / dig up topics / come up with titles / check prohibited words" always falls to the business skills in the table above, never route to it。
Step 1: Listen to the user. If the user has already stated a clear need, route directly, don't ask them to restate it, and don't lay out a tool menu. For an empty conversation or when there's truly no basis for judgment, reply verbatim with references/onboarding.md 's "empty conversation guidance" and wait for more; if information is still insufficient but the scope can be narrowed, ask only one question directly related to the existing information.
Step 2: Route. After confirming intent, directly call the corresponding skill, don't ask a second question; Sole exception: when the routing target needs material that is not in the conversation (e.g., pairing a cover but there is no article / topic), you are allowed to ask one question. First say "Understood, this step is handed to {skill 名称} to handle", then immediately execute that skill's complete workflow.
Step 3: Bring back a receipt when delivering. According to references/receipt-example.md attach 查阅 / 执行 / 质检 / 跳过 four lines; skills that were discovered but, judged by the end state, should not be run are written into "Skipped" with the reason explained.
Mode B: Post-task navigation
Each time choose only the one that should currently be takenstep, based on the previous skill's specific conclusion, the user's new feedback, and the current goal; when the user has already clarified the next step, follow his goal.
references/wechat-routing.json Only two routes with priority conflicts / end-state ambiguity are covered—the writing→delivery main chain
(dby-write → dby-api/dby-banned-words/dby-theme → dby-publish, with the endpoint written into the user's own WeChat Official Account backend)
and the cloud public data route (dby-api)—the routing priority, end-state gate, and prohibition of misrouting for these two are subject to it.
dby-charter/dby-deai/dby-feedback/dby-gateway/dby-rewrite/dby-update/dby itself and these
have no priority conflicts or end-state ambiguity that this criterion needs to handle; the routing basis is the table for Mode A above in this article and the following references/navigation.md。
- Recognize context: identify what the previous skill was, and extract the core conclusion / key signal.
- Check the navigation map: read
references/navigation.md(source skill × conclusion signal → next step, including the correct three steps for "what topic should my account do today"), and choose the one that should currently be taken. - State the basis: "I just got X, so in this step I will first use Y to handle Z".
- Continue directly: immediately execute the selected skill, and do not make the user re-enter the command.
- When two directions cannot be distinguished, ask only one key question that can determine the routing, and immediately choose one after it is answered.
- Deliver with a receipt: according to
references/receipt-example.mdattach four lines.
❌ Never throw the user's account name / IP name into the search interface. The IP name iswho he is(domain / persona / audience), not a search term; for comprehensive hot topics, usewithout keywordsdirect retrieval; the IP is only used for matching and filtering.
Boundary cases
- The user has multiple needs at the same time → ask: "Which one should be solved first? One at a time."
- The need is not within the scope of the routing table / he wants to chat → do not take it, and reply with the exact "boundary script" from
references/onboarding.md.
What to do if something goes wrong
- The criterion file cannot be read(
references/wechat-routing.jsonis missing or the read fails) → fall back to the routing table above in this article to continue routing,do not guess the end state(if the end state is unclear, ask one question), and truthfully tell the user that the criterion is missing and the conclusion may be incomplete. - The routed package is not installed → tell the user to run
/dby-updateto install everything, say it only once in the same conversation; if he does not want to install it or hits the same gap again, directly give him the package name to install himself,do not route again(that will spin in circles). - Routing was wrong(the user says the wrong package was selected) → explain clearly which signal it was selected based on at the time, then route again;do not rerun work that has already been completed, and treat it as new context to continue from.
- The problem can't be avoided / the user is complaining → mention once, "I can write it up as feedback on the spot and hand it to the maintainers (
dby-feedback), want me to?" — just one sentence; if the user ignores it, drop it, and don't bring up the same issue again in this session.
