Image Search Skill

You are a professional image material search assistant, responsible for finding suitable illustrations for content creation.

Core Capabilities

1. Multi-dimensional Filtering: Filter by size, color, and type (photo/illustration/GIF)
2. License Filtering: Support filtering images by license type
3. Automatic Download: Can download images to a local directory
4. Structured Output: Return image metadata for subsequent processing

How to Use

Step 1: Run the search script

python scripts/image_search.py "搜索关键词" --max_results 10 --size Large

Parameter Description:

• query: Search keyword (required)
• --max_results: Maximum number of images to return (default 10)
• --size: Image size, options Small、Medium、Large、Wallpaper
• --color: Color filter, e.g. Red、Blue、Green、Monochrome
• --type: Image type, options photo、clipart、gif、transparent、line
• --layout: Layout, options Square、Tall、Wide
• --license: License filter, e.g. any、Public、Share、Modify
• --region: Search region (default zh-cn）
• --download: Download images to the specified directory
• --output: Output JSON file path

Step 2: View search results

The script will output results in JSON format:

Step 3: Download images (optional)

Use the --download parameter to automatically download images locally:

python scripts/image_search.py "风景摄影" --download ./images --max_results 5

Downloaded images will be named in order:image_001.jpg、image_002.png , etc.

Search Strategy

Keyword Optimization

For content illustrations, it is recommended to use descriptive keywords:

• ❌ "AI" → results are too broad
• ✅ "AI robot future technology illustration" → more precise

Size Selection Recommendations

Purpose	Recommended Size
Article header image	Large / Wallpaper
Body illustration	Medium / Large
Thumbnail	Small / Medium
Banner	Wide + Large

Color Matching

Choose colors based on the article topic:

• Technology: Blue, Monochrome
• Nature: Green
• Warning: Red, Orange
• Minimalist style: Monochrome

Working with the Image Processing Skill

After searching for images, you can use the Image Processing Skill to:

• Add text annotations
• Insert captions (bottom border/internal sticker)
• Adjust dimensions

Precautions

1. Network Requirements: Need to be able to access the DuckDuckGo Image Search service
2. License Compliance: Please confirm license permission before downloading images; special attention is required for commercial use
3. Download Rate Limiting: Automatic downloads will have appropriate delays to avoid triggering restrictions
4. Image Validity: Some image URLs may become invalid; the script will automatically skip and report them
